I had Cataract and PanOptix Lens surgery in March/April 2021 and I cannot express enough how thankful I am to Dr. Medford and his Team/Staff. The surgery went very well and I am pleased. He and the staff explained every step of the process so you knew what to expect. He is truly a top notch doctor and has a great office staff who are always friendly. I have been going to Dr. Medford since the late 90s and he truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for expertise when searching for an eye doctor. Also the Ridgedale Surgical Center is one of the best Out-Patient Facilities! Everyone there was outstanding! Dr Medford performed cataract surgery for me in January/February. I cannot be happier with the results. Dr Medford carefully explained the procedures head of time and recommended the best lense choice for my eyes. I can echo statements of others. Cataract surgery options discussed, procedure well explained both before and during. Dr Medford is an expert practitioner. Ridgedale Surgery Center is a good facility with friendly and caring staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Medford for over 20 years and he has performed multiple procedures during that time and all successful with no downside. His staff in Morristown and W. I recently had Dr. Medford perform cataract surgery on both of my eyes and implant a pan-optic lens in each eye. Each procedure went very smoothly and I had no post-procedure discomfort at all. The improvement in my vision, especially in my right eye was extremely remarkable. I no longer require reading glasses and my distance vision is fine. The doctors and staff at both Dr. Medford's office and the Cedar Knolls eye surgery center were excellent. Very professional and informative every step of the way. I strongly recommend Dr. Medford and his team to anyone who is considered or requiring cataract surgery.

I had cataract surgery performed on both eyes, one year apart, and I am very happy with the results. I was apprehensive about having the surgery because I did not think my eyesight was that poor.However, I decided to go ahead and after the first surgery my vision on that eye improved so much I decided to do the other eye too a year later. A couple of months after my first surgery I developed a "red eye" on my operated eye while I was away.I contacted him by phone, he responded right away, examined my eye via teleconference, prescribed some eye drops to the local pharmacy and in a few hours the issue was resolved.
I give Dr Medford a very strong recommendation.

Dr. Medford is the best. My eye sight after cataract surgery is fantastic. Only comment is the surgery center. I felt my second eye was overbooked and had to wait in a chair for over a half hour for a bed to open. Also had no recovery time they called my husband as soon as I got to recovery. Otherwise everything was great...

Dr. Medford performed cataract surgery on both my eyes, two weeks apart, and the results were excellent. During the exams at his office he explained all the options to me as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. He was very caring and the follow up was excellent. I had no pain during either procedure. The staff in his office and at the surgical center in Cedar Knolls were all caring and professional, resulting in an excellent experience.

Dr. David Medford is an outstanding ophthalmologist with excellent surgical skills. He is also a personable and caring individual. He has been my doctor for 15 years. In 2013 Dr. Medford performed cataract surgery on me. It was complex because of my right eye detached retina which took place 9 years earlier. The surgery was very successful resulting in 20/20 vision and limited use of reading glasses. I recommend Dr. Medford without any reservations.

Dr. Medford performed corrective laser surgery on my eyes when it was a relatively new procedure. Thirty years later it is still good. Recently, he did cataract surgery for me and it went well. I am a doctor in Morris County and am often asked for referrals. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Medford.

He is the best. He explained everything to me including the use of the laser. In fact, I was able to save a significant amount of money by the use of the laser on my right (remove the need for the toric lens to correct for astigmatism. His office present is excellent.
