My family & I have had nothing but excellent experiences at Dr. Choo's practice. Unfortunately, there is no accountability for reviews on this site, either positive or negative. Consequently would not be surprised if some if not all of the critical reviews are either individuals with personal axes to grind (e.g. ex employees) or competitors.

Dr. Choo is one of the worst dentists I've had the misfortune of experiencing. She told me that I had a large cavity on my molar which needed a crown. I got a second opinion from another dentist and was told that the cavity was small and only needed a little bit of filling. She really does not care about people. The only thing she is after is money. Someone like her should not be allowed to practice dentistry.

Unfortunately I had a horrible experience with this dentist many years ago, and it has left me with a permanent problem. When an endodontist told me that he couldn't repair a bad root canal (done by a different dentist) because of calcification and that I had to have the molar extracted, I stupidly agreed to go with Dr Choo's suggestion that she extract it herself (instead of referring me to a specialist to do it). It was an excruciating two hours that involved a great deal of terrifying yanking and finally a chisel. At the end of the appointment, she told me she had left a "crater" in my jaw (and, I noticed, blood all over my paper bib), and didn't offer any suggestions for next steps. This has left me with a lifelong problem of neurological pain, and the problem of not being able to get an implant due to missing jaw bone. I've had ongoing bone loss in the surrounding area, affecting the nearby teeth, as well as very severe gum recession in those adjacent teeth. How I wish she had referred me to a specialist instead of chipping out my jaw and creating this problem that I have been dealing with ever since, and probably will for the rest of my life. I got depressed after the extraction and didn't take any action at the time. I would urge anyone who needs an extraction to get it done by someone who specializes in this, or least a dentist with a great deal of experience with it.

Don't waste your time and money with Dr. Choo. She really is an awful dentist. She is very rude and seems upset when you ask questions.

All the 'positive' experiences must have come from family members. Definitely a terrible dentist!
