I can't see that this Dtr and positive reviews fit together.
Please don't believe them.
To me it's clear they are absolute bulls hit.

There is not one hint in this person's mannerism that suggests care, authentic....

He is simply having a field day with medicare.

I'd be happy to be one of the faces outside his place protesting that he's forced to close.
He s one of the most arrogant men I've ever met.
He doesn't care.
He doesn't even care enough to pretend to care!!

And I imagine he goes home and treats his wife like shit if he has one.

I'm sorry for all the lives ed he s ruined.
I picked it within five minutes but thought my judgement was wrong.

The confluence of an Inner Struggle with the Mask Disintegrating rapidly and a sense of Drowning inside gave me Panic and Disorientation, Major Depression And Psychosis. The Uncaring and Dismissive Doctor Witless Whittington strengthend the sense of Isolation and Despair. It was a nightmare that went untreated for 10 years due to a loss of Confidence in Doctors who have no Heart and no Empathy. When calls for Help fall on deaf ears, the Abyss Opens up and you’re struggling in the murky depths of the Unconscious. A Pandora’s Box. Give the Patient Ground when they present and show up for Help. For Gods Sake.

Dismissive and failed to dig deeper into my psyche for the underlying cause of my major depression. I found him to be Arrogant and not caring. Maybe he hates Women.

I was very ill in 2005 with Major Depression leading to Psychosis when my friend suggested Dr Whittington. The drive to Bundall from Bilinga was harrowing and far. This Doctor showed no compassion for my condition. Nor could he See I was working on releasing a Co-Dependent relationship with my parents who were Toxic with Marrital problems, and my Empathic Nature was being hammered by their respective Mental Illnesses Of Borderline Personality Disorder ( mum ) and Narcissistic Personality Disorder ( dad ) . I had left them far behind in Melbourne but I was falling apart with no support. Dr Whittington failed to acknowledge my Social Anxiety and Isolation and spoke in a Dismissive way, telling me that I just had to make some friends. When you are just One in Life, with no other humans for sympathetic support, it’s impossible, especially when you’re medicated, not sleeping and very ill. Despite my reaching out for Help, this man could not see my Utter despair and I went far into the abyss for years ( 10 years) ....avoiding the Medical Professiin and trying to help myself through Yoga and a community support group. It was the lack of Care and Compassion he displayed at my session which gave me such Despair. I felt very let down. Only recently, 14 years later, have I uncovered my disorganised attachment style formed from having to find safety with Parents who were dangerous with explosive temper and violence tendency.....to realise why I’m skittish around forming relationships. Under Treated and dismissed. Just a Terrible Treatment from an Egotistical Man.

I find Mark to be a great psychologist for me. He is professional and personable. He has always phoned my partner back when I have been in a crisis, which has been literally a life saver. He does promote his books (which author doesn’t), but his been so helpful that I was glad I spent the money. His staff are very professional and caring, particularly Anne. He has always been punctual, which is the reason he does watch the clock.
For the negative commenters below.:
We go there to talk and listen. If we stayed as long as some would obviously like to, he would never get to see the rest of us. If you want a long appointment, you can ask for it, and you will have to pay for it, he is not a public employee.
Some of you seem to have anger issues and I suspect that you are so angry that he was unable to help you break through that. You need to be ready to accept any psychiatrists help.

In summary, a great psychiatrist and a lovely person. I have found him to be very helpful for my depression.

Dr. Mark is my doctor for the last 19 years I never had any problems with his work, for the last 19 years he helps me to function as much better is possible after suffering from Post-traumatic Disorder.

STAY AWAY This so called Psychiatrist should be STRUCK OFF. He has ruined my whole family with wrongful diagnosis of a family member "supposedly" with ADD and has been giving Dexamphetamines for years. It has turned my family member addictive and behavior problems that have ruined our whole family AGAIN "STAY AWAY".
