My brothers and I all went to Dr.Bergman as kids. Now that I am grown and have a child of my own she will be seeing him too. He is a caring person and is 100% dedicated to helping not only the patient, but the family as well.

A fantastic doctor. I totally disagree with the negative comments made by others. He always examines young children in their parent's lap. which is great. He appears to be the go-to doc for emergencies and difficult diagnosis. He is caring and kind.

We have been a patient of this practice since our child was born 6 months ago. We have always been happy with the nurses, nurse practitioners and doctors we've seen. This was the first time we saw Dr. Bergman and we were so disappointed. He seemed rushed throughout the appointment, was not helpful when we asked questions and NEVER once made an attempt to talk to or interact with our daughter. He didn't even smile at her. When she started crying, he seemed annoyed to have to deal with her fussing. Maybe he is better with older children, but it sure seemed like he didn't like babies. We love this practice, but we will do everything possible to avoid seeing Dr. Bergman in the future.

Love this practice and especially Dr. Bergman. He is always professional and knowledgeable. This type of practice doesn't exist anymore.

Do not take your child to see Dr. Bergman. When I first went to see when I was 16 (I'm 18 now). He and my mother talked about my asthma which had been acting up. He said that Flovent, a widely used asthma med used to treat attacks, was pretty much useless and that I shouldn't take it anymore. Later encounters with Dr. Bergman have included refusal to write a prescription for my nebulizer medication and refusal to write a letter for college stating that I had asthma and needed to be in an air-conditioned room claiming that air conditioning had no effect on asthma. Having lived with this my whole life I can tell you that air-conditioning helps prevent molds from forming (a trigger for me) and is most definitely needed for patients with asthma. We were told if we wanted to speak to the doctor about his decision we could make an appt. on Friday mornings when he handles these problems. Good luck if you need to go to work or school Fri mornings. Please, don't waste your time with him.

He is one of the doctors who has practiced too long and apparently dislikes it. His practice is fine. He sucks.

When I made the appointment, I was under the impression this was a good pediatrician - from ratings in the Washington Post. He was so hateful and aggressive that I walked out and never returned. He actually shouted me down when I was giving him my son's medical history. He said I had no right to [follow the instructions of a previous doctor]. He said HE was the DOCTOR, and it was only his judgment that counted. My 12-year old son was so alarmed by his tone that he stepped between us and began attempting to placate the guy. I have never seen anything like it.

He can be very condescending, his attitude is that he is better than you and he knows all and you know nothing. Not my favorite doctor in the practice.

Dr. Bergman may be very knowlegeable but he doesn't spend enought time with the patient to answer questions. I always left the office with so many things that I haven't had a chance to ask. Often I have to go outside looking for him to ask my concern. I particularly very scare to use too much medication on the little one but I will let the baby uses it if I see the benefits outweigth the risks. He just said that I need to do so without explaining the benefit and risk and to assure me that those medicines are safe and neccessary. He has no idea of interpersonal skills.

He is honestly the worst ped I have seen so far. The waiting was very short. We get to see the doctor within around 10 minutes after we checked in. However, our visit was over within 3 minutes. We recently moved to this area and needed a ped. My baby had a very serious allergy reaction about 1 week ago. We went to see the ped to make sure he is okay now. He came in, checked the baby's skin and ears, asked a few questions, then left. We only get the chance to ask two questions. He was so tough and rude with the baby, my baby cried the whole 3 minutes he was there. While he was examing the baby, he acted like he doesn't care if baby likes it or not. For the entire visit, he has no facial expression whatsoever even when I smiled to him and introduced myself and my baby to him. Staffs seem to be very helpful and nice. The nurse acted like she doesn't know how to handle a crying baby. No very professional. (Note: the clinic was very small, and the exam room is suffocating)
