My daughter is now 10 and half, she has been Dr. Olson's patient since birth. Initially I thought the office was good, I liked them and felt that I was receiving good care for my daughter. I usually saw Kim or Suzie and Kim they were and have always been great. Dr. Olson on the other hand never hears my concerns, has begun to get a very arrogant I have done this a long time attitude and is in and out of the room in 1-2 minutes without hearing a word I have to say. I was concerned for months about a rash that she had and he told me it was nothing just excema repeatedly, finally after many appointments and complaining he said fine go to a dermatologist and we did and found out she had a staph infection. She fell and hit her head hard at daycare and had the most disgusting gigantic goose egg on her temple that was black! He said if she didn't loose consciousness he didn't need to see her, several weeks later again my complaining got us an appointment and gee her skull was fractured! The response I got was lots of kids fracture their skulls and never even know it. The icing on the cake was that she was in the ER receiving IV meds for a migraine and Dr. Olson never even came in the room to see her! He sat right outside of her door at the desk at SH talking about his vacation, signed off on her paperwork and never even took one peak at her, pretty crappy when its one of his patients for the past 10 years!!!! I have made the appointment to switch her PCP.

Well Instead of seeing him I got one of his fellow doctors who was a younger woman with shoulder length brown hair, at first she was nice to me, she asked me what was wrong i told her my daughter is very constipated and I wanted to solve the issue, so right off the bat she asked me if my daughter was vaccinated, I told her that is MY CHOICE as her parent and That she was not, she immediatly got angry and gave me the most arrogant Dr. attitude I have ever seen. she Said "well I am an advocate for vaccines and I vaccinate my daughter, etc." I was like "well thats your own convictions, not mine. What does ANY of this have to do with my daughters constipation?, We are here for constipation, not a vaccine discussion." she put my daughter on the table, stuck her finger up her butt and said "yep she is constipated!, Take a tablespoon of mineral oil every day and if that doesnt work, try Miralax, bye". Then she angrily handed me vaccine brochures and walked away. what a horrible woman.

I took my son in to get his first appointment since he was born- was greeted with fake pretentious laughs that screamed I don't really care, and when the doctor was in the office, he seemed the same way. They didn't listen to any of my concerns, and shuffled me out the door. All they cared about was collection of the bill. I took him in a couple of days later for his circumcision, and when I left the plastic bandage fell off within an hour of leaving- it is supposed to last three days. The care instructions they sent me home with did not cover what to do in this case, and when I tried to get a hold of a doctor or nurse on call that night, I was forwarded to an outsourced nurse in another state. I couldn't even make another appointment. If I want my son to receive another proper bandage, I have to take him to the emergency room- and pay... even more... for something I already paid for once. I wouldn't recommend this office, and I will be looking for another promptly.

We have been with Dr. Olson for 4 years have not seen him once for any of our daughter's appointments. Every time we call in for an appointment we are given to a registered nurse. We have recently noticed a painful lump on our daughter and made an appointment to see him and yet again we are seeing the RN. We were told not to worry about it and it would go away. The skin above the lump has now turned red and purple and is running a temp and even more painful. We called in again, only a week after the initial apt, and were told that we will have to see another RN because both the doctors are out of the office for the next few days. What kind of Doctors offices doesn't have a doctor on the premises or on call?

My three kids had known no other pediatrician. They are now 17, 16, 13. Last year my 13 year old (12 at the time was getting sick a lot. School concerned. Took him to olson. You could see my son was sick. Olson said if he is not fevered tomorrow, he needs to go to school. I told him I didn't agree. I talked to a nurse, flabergasted, and told her that I thought I could not bring my son back after that. A week later I received a letter from Dr Olson, stating that he heard I thought about taking my kids elsewhere and he agreed. He gave me 30 days to find another pediatrician. I ended up taking my son to a specialist and found out he had asthma and at 60% lung capacity and many allergies and that was why he was getting sick often. Now he is an assembly line on his way out the door.

The staff and Dr. Olson listen to you and your concerns. They work with you and your child(ren) treating each child as an individual. I absolutely love this Dr.'s office. I have a special needs child and they didn't just pooh pooh my concerns, they listened and we found my child's problem. Even if you can not see Dr. Olson himself, his nurses are excellent. We see Kim more often than not. Same day appts are available which is important cuz children never seem to get sick on days of their appts.

We see Suzie, Dr. Olson's nurse. She is very knowlegible and helpful. She supports our decision to breast feed and delay vaccinations. I have been able to get into to see the nurse on the same day when we have needed to. This is a very good office.
