Dr. Maher is an amazingly talented and experienced doctor. She made my eyes look beautiful. She lives her craft and it shows. I found her to be very empathetic and knowledgeable and I felt completely safe with the process. It was my first surgery ever, I am so pleased.

I had 2 visits with Dr. Maher to remove a basal cell carcinoma on the eye lash line of my left eyelid. Dr. Maher was so reassuring during the procedure explaining as she removed it and had it biopsied while I waited to see if she had gotten it all. Dr. Maher had remove a bit more and I am now relieve the basal cell carcinoma will not return. Dr. Maher took her time working delicately to completely remove the growth. It wasn't a rush job of getting in as many patients as a doctor could to make money. The day after the operation I am at home without any pain, swelling nearly down to normal. Dr. Maher did a perfect job, a great surgeon.

Staff was very courteous. After initial consult, Dr Maher herself, walked me to her scheduling person, to insure I received a timely appointment for the procedure. (just 3 days later). She removed a growth from my upper eyelid. She told me what she planned to do, kept talking to me throughout the procedure. Great Surgeon. Did procedure quickly, efficiently and most important she seemed to really care how I was feeling, and about some temporary discoloration around eye. I was very happy with the entire experience.

the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have seen in NYC over 10 years! Does not believe in informing patients of what she plans to do.

I don't know why people gave Dr.Maher such horrible ratings, but my experience with her was great. I had ptosis surgery and I was really nervous with the whole idea of me being awake for the surgery, but the entire time, Dr.Maher was there to tell me even though I was half conscious, that everything is going to be okay. I felt no pain whatsoever and the results of my droopy eyelid was incredible. I was so happy with the results that both my eyes seemed aligned and I could see everything with both my eyes completely open. I was so grateful that she made me feel comfortable and every time I went back for a checkup, she was so lovely and friendly. I was very happy overall and this surgery has changed my life and it's all thanks to her. I really recommend her :) good luck to all ^_^
