A professional doctor with years of experience and a great human being. Dr. Bucy took me as a patient when I first came to live in USA and had still no medical insurance, other doctors would not take me without it, she gave me an appointment within days and I was succesfully diagnosed and treated from an ongoing health situation. I was able to discuss with her openly and with no time restriction about my previous health experiences including a few miscarriages, she listened patiently and gave me great medical advice along with relief and comfort. I am 42 years old, mother of 3. (2 ivf babies and 1 naturally conceived) I got pregnant naturally for the first time a few months after meeting Dr. Bucy, she made me feel optimistic about being a mom again! I have a 6 month old baby now and I am happy to say that my whole pregnancy experience with her and Midwest OBGYN was excellent. I have been her patient for almost two years.

I saw dr bucy for the first time--as a new patient. She was in the room with me for over an hour. She listened to me and looked at me right in the eye--unlike a lot of other dr's! She was VERY in-depth with everything she explained. My husband came to my appt--she engaged with him in conversation. She is very religious and is forward about this...which for me...was amazing and comforting!! LOVE HER as a dr!! So glad I am now her patient!!

I have chronic migraines. I had them for 8 years now. This condition runs in my family. When I get a migraine I often have to go to the er to have heavy duty narcotics to break it. Nothing over the counter works. I have talked to dr Bucy about this and she won't prescribe me anything to help with my condition

This is my first pregnancy and I have not yet once felt like I was getting any of the answeres or questions I've had to be helpful. Every appointment I've had she is over an hour late, and I completely understand that she may be busy with another paitent, but when it's been over an hour, I feel like somebody should atleast come in to let me know or maybe she could apologize for being so late. The worst part of it all is after being that late she has no interest in taking the time out to discuss anything that I'm asking, and is very unhelpful. I feel like I'm talking to a wall or somebody who just doesn't care. I've had nothing but bad experiences with her and the other Drs. I will never be back here or reccomend anybody else there either. A pregnancy is supposed to be the best thing to happen to you, but when you have an OB that doesn't help you or guide you with anything and has no interest in explaining anything to you, it's no fun.

My experience with Dr. Bucy and her office was very similar to another one mentioned here. I had a large cyst that required surgery and she was EXCELLENT during the entire process. However, I've now had several miscarriages and their answer is to "keep trying" and "pray". When I said I couldn't keep doing this over and over, she suggested my problem was my weight based on an article she saw but did not read the entirety of. She has referred me to a few places, but they seem to be as unhelpful about whatever my issues are as she is. The office staff is unfriendly as they can be. They'll hound you to death about money but tell you flat out NO when you want to talk to a doctor. On my last miscarriage, when the bloodwork came in, the nurses NEVER DID call with the results even after I left a message (since you can' t talk to a person) saying how dissatisfied I was with the treatment I'd been getting. I'm a christian, but I need more than "hopes and prayers". I need science now

She genuinely cares. As an OB specialist, she is often called out of the office to deliver a baby. She spends as much time as you need during your appointment, and I don't mind waiting a little bit of time to see her knowing just that. She will work late to make sure she sees all her patience. She covers all the bases of well-being; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, home, work. I truly believe my referral to her was sent through God. She is an angel in her field. -- "Ditto" -- LRH

When I had ovarian cysts Dr. Bucy gave excellent care and was very thorough in explaining things and making sure I was okay. Now that I am trying to conceive and having problems, she always seems in a hurry, doesn't spend much time at all explaining things and such, and when I ask her a question about this or that, she tells me whatever I want to do. I am asking her for her medical opinion! I am going to start looking for a new OB/GYN to receive the care and attention I deserve! She was great four years ago, but apparently has gotten too many patients and doesn't have the time. Also, the last three appointments I have had (in a 3-mth period) I have waited over an hour past my appointment time before I have been seen. I can find better. I wish her the best of luck in her career.

About 2 years ago, my pap came back abnormal and I had to see Dr. Bucy for a colposcopy. In the middle of the biopsy, Dr. Bucy was called out for a delivery. I understand that is not her fault, but I found out that I have HPV by overhearing Dr. Bucy telling the nurse as she was packing up. She starting telling me about procedures that had to be done, but I was terrified and had no idea what she was talking about. I had no idea what HPV was. After Bucy left, I tried to ask the nurse what it was and if it was an STD or something. She just said yes and looked at me like I was an idiot. She did not even offer to get someone else to talk to me or even any suggestions on how to get more info. It was a terrible and VERY scary experience. Also, I later received a phone call--apparently they "forgot" that I was supposed to pay for the colposcopy up front and I was being billed $400! They should have told me that before hand, I would have went elsewhere. I definitely did after that experience!
