I am very grateful to Dr. John who recently saved me from two major dangers. First one was Shingles, who hit me in the left side of the face near my left eye, which was seriously affected. Dr. John treated him with great skill and experience, and I recovered completely, then treated my left eye until it healed and returned to normal.

I was in on May 04 for a follow up and of course Dr. Shin always makes the situation better. I was always worried about the results but with his recommendations for additional test I was really making good progress. He is very knowledgeable and truly passionate about his work.

Clinic booked appointments from 9:30, the doctor came to work around 11am. So many patients crowded in the hallway during COVID, needed to wait hours standing without distancing. Very small office without equipments, not like other ophthalmologists' office. The doctor was rude, no mask, lacking explanation. Actually, an optometrist advised a lot better to me.

Overall, experience was ok. Dr Shin was able to explain in detail, very competent, and knowledgeable. However, the front desk has failed big time. First, I am unable to speak w a live person and it's always the machine. Second, now I need to make changes to the appointment but unable to because the voice-mail is full.

I like that he is straightforward. He draws pictures to illustrate his discussion. I really appreciate that. He also explains things well.

Dr. John Shin is an excellent Ophthalmologist. During my recent appointment with him on 11-June-2021, he conducted the appointment and eye tests very professionally and explained my eye issues very clearly and provided me with good medical advice to maintain the health of my eyes.

I visited Dr John on Friday 11 June, I was suffering from a thickness issue in the Retina as per my OCT. He was very professional and following examination, he took the time to explain to me both verbally and by drawing what could be the reasons behind my problem. Usually doctors are always in a hurry in a busy clinic like his, however he was patient, encouraging and clear.. I wish more doctors have same approach..

Dr. Shin has been my doctor for a few years now, but every time I go, he does not know why he asked me to come in for a check up or follow up on the tests. He can be extremely rude and lacks professionalism. I was shocked to see him not wearing a mask/ face covering and walking in barefoot while seeing patients. He also doesn't explain in detail and leaves out important information unless you ask.
