BCC removed from nose. Shocking results that need another surgeons expertise to repair. Happy BCC is gone, but ugly unnecessary scarring because he didn’t really care. Condescending.

Dr Cockburn's treatment was and is excellent. So much so that I returned for further and other treatment. His substantial surgery on my cheek left no visible scar. His post-operative attentiveness, caution and detail were also very impressive. He is obviously of a reserved nature rather than arrogant, and I suspect that if he tried to be jolly to relieve his patient's tensions, he would not be successful and may appear flippant

Very professional in every way. Plenty of time for consultation and discussion. Beautiful result from a difficult reconstruction. I would highly recommend Dr Cockburn.

Very disappointed. I went in to remove a few small lumps. I had a rushed, expensive consultation where he booked me immediately in for surgery. Nothing was explained to me including the procedure, scaring or the prognosis. Just before surgery, he misdiagnosed one lump which led to a larger, deeper cut than needed. Unfortunately this was on my face and I am now scared for life. Lesson learned, that if you don't feel comfortable with a surgeon, seek a second opinion. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this surgeon based on my personal experience.

I wouldn’t recommend him. He removed an aggressive BCC from my nose (on the left nostril) requiring a nasal flap day surgery. He was very flippant and nonchalant about it all and downplayed it so that u was very confident going in but was shocked and horrified afterwards. I’d asked what I should expect post operatively including 7 days post surgery as I had to deliver corporate training and didn’t want to have my facial appearance making attendees uncomfortable. He said I would have some slight swelling and bruising but would be fine to present 7 days later. Suffice to say I wasn’t by any measure. I looked like I had been a glassing victim and had black eyes and significant swelling and my nose looked like a pig snout for at least a month afterwards and even now 2 years later my nose on that side has an unpleasant scar and the nostril on that side is pulled up unpleasantly. I might be BCC free but it was an unnecessarily emotionally traumatic experience which could have been avoided by him saying from the outset, your nose profile and shape will change permanently as a result and you will have significant swelling and bruising for a month and should take this into account when scheduling you work. I will never go back to him again

I would not recommend Dr Cockburn. He removed an oral cancer of my mother and then soon after her lymph node in her neck swelled up. When she went back to him he told her "not to worry her little head" and that it was normal for this to occur post-op (he was also booked in to go on holidays so presumably he didn't want to take a simple biopsy to check). The lymph node was hard which is a pretty good indicator that it was suspect. He sent her home and said it would likely resolve. Turns out it was cancer. I understand people get cancer and die but there is no place in the medical profession for arrogant, patronising doctors who lack the care and skill to properly diagnose and care for patients.

I had my breasts implants done by him and I am now scarred for life. One breast is disfigured and I am no too embarrassed to let anyone see them. After the operation I went back to him to show him the result and he tried to brush it off but he did say that he would bulk bill me as he knew he was in trouble. The whole experience was bad from the beginning. When wheeled into surgery I saw many people in the surgery and asked who they were and before I knew it the anaesthetist jabbed me not once but twice leaving me with a black and blue arm. He knew he should have asked my permission to have students in the room but thought I would not notice or object but that is against the rules. Apart from that I am now too embarrassed to meet a man as I can't bear the thought that he would see the breasts and be turned off. Thanks Dr. Cockburn for ruining my chance to have a normal life.

I had to have delicate surgery on my face and was a little nervous. Dr Cockburn did a fabulous job, I healed beautifully with no noticeable scars. All very professional and efficient. Would highly recommend him.

I had to have a scar reopened on my shoulder and Dr Cockburns task was to remove a melanoma and try to make the new scar as presentable as possible. Did a pretty good job really
