Dr Raymond Fidaleo is one of the greatest people I've ever had the privelege of meeting and I owe my life, my mental health and my success to him. He saved my life in my darkest hour, something I'm sure has done for thousands of patients. He taught me how to fight back against mental illness and his direction of the CBT program at Sharp Mesa Vista hospital is a model for mental healthcare. If he ever happens to read this I just want to say thank you Dr. Fidaleo. You gave me hope that there are psychiatrists who care and you are someone who has made a significant difference in the lives of others.

This Dr is one of a kind. He takes very challenging cases and sees them through. When I was in the hospital he saw me 7 days a week. Dr. Fidaleo respects me and sees me as a person, not a disease. This doctor does not have a 'canned' approach. He knows exactly what he is doing, he is compassionate, yet he expects his patients to put in 'work' in order to get better. He is cautious in his prescribing and will not enable addictive behavior. I have been to many psychiatrists and this one is the BEST! He takes his time, he takes on extra patients when they are in need. I have been double-booked as the result of a walk-in, but this is rare and Dr. F is worth waiting for. He is well aware of the manipulation and victimization tactics that some people rely on instead of facing their challenges. If you really want some recovery, this doctor will walk that long dark road beside you and don't think this doesn't take time, or that there is a magic pill for this. Another excellent fact about Dr. Fidaleo, is that he will never discharge you until you are safe to manage on your own.

This guy was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Back in the 1990's I was put in the hospital where he was and he had me on 15 different meds at one time. I was so screwed up from him that it took a 3 month stint in Warm Springs in Montana to get me off of all his meds. I can't believe he's still screwing people messing with people!

I don't know why I haven't posted a comment until now, but I cannot say enough about Dr. Fidaleo. He saved my life. He is not your typical "15 minute timer" doctor. His passion is healing those of us in deep dark pain. My road was very long and dark but I am back because of Dr. Fidaleo. My depression had gone so long without the proper treatment that I had reached the point of not wanting to live. It was Dr. Fidaleo that gave me my life back. As for a rating of 4 for "not on time". I only put the 4 to let you know that his appointments can sometimes run long, so it is helpful to remember if you are waiting that it might be you in his office. I enjoy my ongoing relationship with Dr. Fidaleo. He still likes to see me every 6 months to make sure my meds are still working. Another example of how great he is...he could have just said goodbye when I was feeling better, but he wants to keep an eye on me. Just a wonderful person and doctor. I thank you (again) and my family thanks you!

Dr f has been my doc over 6 years. He has helped me so much. He takes his time with u and honest. He always asks me about my husband and kids. He doesnt set a 15 min. Apt. We usually talk 30 to 45 min. He really cares about his patients. If he didnt he would have gone into private practice where he could make more money.

Dr. F. Combative and very judgmental. Does not look you in the eye, or listen. He looks at the clock. Not good fit for me...I am very sensitive, and he is gruf, confrontational and combative. Has ba temper. Totally judgemental. I felt worse after each meeting ith him. But...some people need a doctor that is in their face, almost tJhreatening and demanding. That Did not work for me and I regret the experience. More suicidal. It was a huge set back for me. Everyone is differferent tho. He is very qualified and I believe very dedicated. Maybmetro old school...hurt me, questioned my reason for living even more....I was intimitadtedme. I already have extreme self loathing and he confirmed that for me..in my sensitive mindth for me. Just a bad fit. Could be great for you tho. Good luck. Don't expect any eye contact.

I was diagnosed Bi-Polar in 2000. I have been seeing Dr. for 6 months and he is absolutely amazing. He is straight to the point, but does it in a caring way, in addition to having a fun sense of humor! He is extremely knowledgable with the world of psychiatry (meds, programs, disorders, etc). He started me on ECT and now monitors my meds. He takes his time when we meet and that is very important to me! A fabulous doctor who deserves recognition and ALL 5 stars!

Dr.Fidaleo defines the role of the word physician. His approach in helping you deal with your issues combines the challenge of facing your situation or disorder and that harsh truth with the compassion of hearing your pain that your dealing with. He didn't just give me the information about my disorder and skills needed to cope with it...he provided a path towards overcoming it one day. He is direct and honest with his view or opinion about what steps are needed for your success to gain mental health and throws in a sense of humor that puts you at ease. His 40+ years of experience and knowledge and his approach to remembering that we who are in need of his help are people...real people...not just patients with a number. I'll never be able to thank him enough for all he's done to bring me to a better place with my thoughts and to learn "to be straight" in my communication.

It is rare to find a psychiatrist this truly compassionate, up front and honest, and cognizant of what is going on and what has gone on. His use of ECT with me has been valid and helpful. Yes he informed of side effects but the benefits are worth it. I have not been the easiest person to treat, but Dr. Fidaleo has a way of knowing what is going on with me and what my needs are. I do believe that without him I would not be alive today and would have gone out with depression and psychosis. I am very grateful to this doctor. Cathy C.
