Made inappropriate comments to me about my body and told me I needed a therapist for my chronic pain. Made comments about my mother’s vaginal walls. Disgusting behavior. He needs his medical license revoked.

The man is a straight up crook. Threatened to pull my driver's license if I didn't buy a CPAP machine from him probably 5 times in a 5 minute appointment. My "home test" showed "40 apnea events per hour" - I insisted on a PSG test in Abbotsford. The PSG showed 0 apnea events in the entire 8 hour test. Dr. Steinberg's comment on these results? "The home test showed 40 and the PSG showed 0, so it's probably somewhere in between there and you should be on a CPAP". Excuse me? No. The man is a straight up criminal - I don't know how he hasn't been run out of town yet.

I've seen this Doctor 2x...I have a chronic ear infection as of March 2023...I've had 4 serious problems..I saw Dr. Stienburg last Wednesday...he gave me penicillin...it's now Wednesday 7 days later and it's not getting any better and now it's in the other ear. So I'm a little upset as his fast diagnosis was a wash. Now it's 4am and I'm going to Emergency. I just hope there's not a lot of people there....oh and his hours are not helpful as he's only opened 2 days this week due to Thanksgiving but 3 days a week

I brought my mother with me since I was nervous after reading these reviews and didn’t want to be alone with this doctor. In the waiting area there are giant neon signs that say you cannot bring another person into the room with you, which was incredibly strange. The receptionist was very nice and didn’t say anything about my mother being there, so I proceeded to take her into the room with me. Before my appointment even started I could hear him loudly talking to another patient in the office and I thought that what he was asking was odd, questions about the meaning of life and the biological meaning of existence. When he came in he seemed angry that I brought my mother, asking me how old I actually was and why I needed her there. I was referred for continuous ear infections and I believed I had ruptured my ear drum. He said that I didn’t have an ear infection because I hadn’t taken my temperature (I was referred from the urgent care because my ear was so infected that they couldn’t tell if I had actually ruptured my eardrum) and overall acted like he didn’t believe me. Once he checked my ears he started asking me the same questions he was asking the other patient, asking about the biological meaning of life and such. Apparently I threw him off when I knew the answer (it’s reproduction according to biologists), because he quickly told me I was just stressed from being a young university student and I needed to reduce my stress because it was making my TMJ muscle seize. He handed me a few papers about TMJ and that was it. Overall I felt like my time had been wasted and I didn’t get any real answers for why I’ve been in so much pain. Also, the chair with the wheels cut off is definitely real and incredibly concerning. I would not go see this doctor alone.

I have algae this doc before but am now referred to him again. After reading his ratings I will be changing docs as it’s my right to. Will not be seeing this pos at any cost. Thank you june 28 2023 rater for writing your concerns.

There’s something really off with this person. I won’t refer to him as a Doctor. He asked me more about my hobbies and what a ‘busy Lizzie’ I was, commented on my education and that maybe ‘I could Google to figure out my issues with that kind of education’. First time in my life that I’ve stood up ‘furing’ a medical appointment to leave I did not want to sit there and be his ‘audience’ for such bazaar and condescending behaviour. He was of little help, asked inappropriate questions, and wants to give you paper handouts from his ‘old treasure trove’ of papers. It’s time for this person to retire. Please let a younger, more contemporary and socially updated (No misogyny, no bazaar hubris pls) ENT offer services. (Is he working because he’s invested in the field and offering excellent ENT care, or for financial reasons, or because he has no life to retire into? Latter strikes me as the reason.) I can’t imagine his ENT colleagues respect him). For all the posters with similar experiences and evidence, consider a report to College of Physicians. He uses the fact that there’s no ‘eyes on his behaviour’.
