Am a Patient of this MD for a long time. Things changed when she moved to new office. This office was uncaring towards me as a patient. I have never experienced anything like that. The human touch is gone and you are just a number here. Too bad cause she is a good doctor. Tried to talk to her but no response. Very odd.

I waited for awhile the first year I saw this doctor, One day up to an hour and I had an appointment time set already. This must have been fixed, as now it is more punctual. I don't think she spends too much time with patients, seemed rush, cranky, and pushy to be honest. I referred a friend and they felt the same way and didnt return. I went back, and she was exceptionally rude to me one visit when I was answering her questions. apparently I was moving ahead of where she was at, and corrected me that she had to ask her questions in that order, except that she had cut me off and i was answering exactly what she asked. She assumed I was just about to babble information and abruptly cut me off then realized I was trying to answer. that was the last time I really wanted to go back... Today I need to see them and i spent the day finding someone else b/c I get anxiety if I have to deal with that office. in general.

I've been coming to dr. Hudson for about 2 years. She is friendly andmost of the time is patient with my questions. She sees a very large volume of patients and i typically wait 1 hour to 1.5 hour. She definately over books her appointments. The receptionists are ok. They are also very busy when ever i am there. I keep saying i am going to change doctors due to the long waits but out of laziness have not found a new doctor. I definately will be in the new year. On my last visit the receptionist put some one in front of me because she complained about waiting. I was waiting 1/2 hour before this women even walked in.

I figure I give Doctor Shannon Hudson a try since my current GYN doctor will no longer be practicing anymore. I waited in the waiting room for an half hour which wasn't bad but I had to wait the the room for her for almost an hour because she was running late with another patient. Considering that I was a new patient she only spent 10 minutes me. She then had some test done on me and an infection was found and instead of her calling me she sent a letter with a prescription. Now call me crazy but I think I should have been called about this due to fact that if this letter would have gotten lost in the mail I would have never known I had an infection. I left a message with her staff to call me back concerning the medication she prescribed and of course she never got back to me. She had her assistant call me. I will not be going back to her as it's clear that she could careless about her patients. Do not go to this doctor!

I searched for a while to find the great GYN in New York after encountering a really rude GYN the previous year. Dr. Hudson is extremely easy to talk to and knowledeable. I think she has been practicing for quite some time. She will sit with you for 10 minutes to explain the mechanics of a birth control pill (including drawing diagrams for you) and she educated me on the pros and cons of BRCA gene testing, emphasizing that the decision was mine to make rather than hers. I also found the pap smear to be relatively painless and quick. I have since recommended her to a friend (also in her 20s) who had an equally pleasant experience. Lastly, I found it relatively easy to book an appointment 3 weeks away from when I called...Not super easy to get an appointment, but not a three month wait either, which I think has more to do with the less than gorgeous office ambience than with Dr. Hudson's bedside manner and qualifications.

Came in for baby not moving at 8 months. A male Dr. said everything OK and I could leave. Dr. Hudson happened to come in and told nurse I could not leave until being monitored for awhile. She thus found out baby's heartrate became extremely low, called ambulance, & did emergency c-section. Said if I had gone home baby most likely wouldn't have survived. Other Dr.s also did not notice my baby was very small(3.5lbs.) for gestational age, even though they did at least 3 ultrasounds towards the end. I saw Dr. Hudson only for 1st visit and again when she delivered my son. This was obviously a mistake as she by far seemed the most caring and knowledgable. I would not recommend any Dr. in this office except her.
