Such a compassionate and caring surgeon. He has an incredible ability to help put everything into perspective and place you at ease. Not only is his bedside manner impeccable, but the surgical results were as well. He goes above and beyond. I highly recommend him and would not see anyone else.

Dr. Melzig is the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor I have ever had. He is also an incredible surgeon. I HIGHLY recommend him!

I'm living proof of Dr. Melzig's excellent knowledge of the human body. I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer almost 10 years ago. I was fortunate enough to be recommended to Dr. Melzig and his staff. I was only 34 years old at the time and had just gotten married! We wanted children, although I already had 2 boys by a previous marriage. Dr. Melzig successfully removed the cancer. I'll never forget when I came to, he made a special visit to my bed side and said "everything looks good, we got it all, it had not spread", but he wanted me to take 6 months of chemo as a precaution. I did my 6 months of chemo successfully, but refused radiation since it would have made me go into instant menopause and we wanted children. After chemo I asked if I could have children and was told "as many as I wanted". I now have a 7 yr. old son, and we both are doing just perfect. Thank you Dr. Melzig and staff, I owe you my life!

I had cancer in 97.I knew my life depended on getting the best care possible.I chose to travel over 100 miles to see Dr. Melzig because he was highly recommended.He and his staff were very caring and understanding.He took the time to explain my options and everything about my surgery.A few years later my husband needed plastic surgery on his ear to remove a skin cancer. We checked and Dr. Melzig said he could do it. He did a beautiful job.There is no scarring or deformity.I would not consider anyone else for a surgeon for me or anyone I care about.I still see him for checkups and actually enjoy the visits.I am fortunate to have him for my doctor.I owe him my life.

My husband had a cyst removed about a year ago and it still isn't healed. He keeps telling us that it's fine, but it's an open wound and is still draining. Other doctors have told us that they have never heard of a cyst taking over a month to heal unless there is something else wrong. HOWEVER he swears up and down that it's normal..blah blah. He even wrote my husband a note to lie to the military about it. NOT A GOOD CHOICE.
