Dr Heit has been treating me for 17 years and he is one of the best. He takes his time with you and is very thorough during an exam. He is very knowledgeable and thoughtful.

1 Year ago, my son fell ill with a debilitating decease and taken to the ER. The "resident" dr performed a couple of proceedures to find out what the problem was. After 1 week of my son being the hospital, he was sent home, on a steroid. After 4 days there was no progress in his condition. I took him to Dr. Heit, who spent a long time speaking with us and determining that my son was not going to get better with just the meds they had sent him home with from the hospital. He swiftly returned him to the hospital under his care, for 24 hours. Dr Heit administered a "witches brew" through IV and turned my sons life around in that short 24 hour period. It took about a week of down time, but you could physically see that he was in much better condition. If it wasn't for Dr. Heit, we may have very well lost our son, due to the severity of his decease. Kudos to Dr. Heit. I highly recommend him to everyone who may find themselves with a gastro issue.

Very precise, good with patients and interested in them and their health. Dr. Heit is confident in his profession and runs his office well. They are proactive in verifying insurance co-pays where other offices don't do that.

I've seen Dr. Heit for several years now. I lost my daughter two years ago from a genetic disease. Terribly upsetting time for my family. He is kind, patent, and thorough...doesn't rush you. Not quick to rush to medical procedures. Solved all my issues in relatively short timeframe. Good follow up. Easy to get ahold of and get an appointment with. Great doctor and great person. I give him top ratings.

He is a good gastroentrologist, and knows his stuff. The only problem is for complex cases, I don't think he has the right solution (but thats the case with most MDs in gastronentrology). Prescribing ant-depressants for complex gastro cases which are definitely physical, is not the right solution. one thing i admired about him, is he never rushed me into surgery, and thats typically what doctors ought to do.

He was the first Dr. I saw when I was missed diag. by my primary dr. He helped me through my stage 3 cancer diag. and really helped me through that time.

this dr was extreamly knowledable in his field, explained procedure and findings, doesn't keep you running to him, when problem fixed thats it. he deserves best rating in my case.
