St. Clare's Hosp-Denville

Took my sister to the ER on 07/06/2025 with a dog bite. Dr. Jessica McLane you are the BEST!!! Thank you for all your help with finding my sister a plastic surgeon on a holiday weekend. The nurses also took very good care of my sister. I can not thank you enough .

So upsetting the lack of care this place gives now. I can see why they had to b bought out and are being sued. They cant even keep staff becausr the pay sucks, the benefits are worst and want 2 run things based of California laws when we r not in CA. Fatima the ER nurse needs to relearn her phlebotomy.

Their ER couldn’t even do a CT scan for a severe ankle injury. What kind of hospital is this? Worthless and shameful.

St. Clare's ER is great for very serious emergencies, For several less serious emergencies they were terrible. The last time I was there they tested me quickly and the doctor never returned, I lay there for hours not knowing the results of my tests. it turns out I had a small pelvic fracture. I lay there for hours with no info , no water, no food, no pain meds, no further treatment. Hours later I was discharged, never having talked to my doctor and with discharge papers written by a nurse. My PC said she had never seen sketchier discharge papers. I was discharged to walk out of the ER with no wheel chair. I could barely walk and was in great pain. I called for a ride. I had no script for a walker. My son let me borrow one. I couldn't walk at all for several days and not comfortably for a few weeks. Horrible, uncaring experience.

St Claire hospital as a really sad service provided to a patients. If you end up bleeding, they keep you five hours in ER transfuse your blood and then the nurses don’t give a report to each other about the transfusion. They try to discharge you PACU assuming that you are not bleeding anymore. If you don’t listen carefully to discharge instructions and sign papers, they will even write down that You never had any bleeding .

Billing department is a failure! Communication with customer services is slow and frustrating. Choose other better hospitals in the area. Morristown was great!

The Doctor was rude and incompetent from the beginning to the end and they gave me morphine for the pain and at discharged they want it me to sit in the hallway until the morphine clear out because they needed it the bed and I didn’t had a ride meanwhile I was still in so much pain they are horrible. I felt so humiliated. I was trying to ask him to give me time to clear the medicine out and he walk away like I was nothing.

I had had two surgeries some 10 years ago here. But recently I was admitted via emergency room. To my dismay, most of the work and patient care is in the hands of nurses' aides or students from a local high school who are lured by the administration to have time off from school and learn to be a nurse w/ "hands-on" experience. These are KIDS! My room's floor was never washed and my bedding rarely changed over a span of 12 days. I found the nurses were concerned with hair, nails and make-up and did everything in their power to not look like nurses. I am sad to see such a once fine place in such disarray and so poorly managed. I am sure it won't be long before it sells out and the Christian atmosphere will be no more.

Just went to the ER, the ER facility was so clean and new, it was private room for many patients that need to take for few hours. Doctor, Nurse and technician all have good bedside manner and made me in ease. I was taken good care and left with smile on my face.

I had a great experienc at this hospital doctors and nurses are great and friendly
