Dr Zbell is a sweet and caring person, but is not helpful in breastfeeding. When my daughter was a baby(6 now), Dr. Zbell said she should only eat every three hours. Also, if I did not feel engorged between feedings, that I should supplement with formula so my body could build up a milk supply. I talked to a lactation consultant who said most of what she told me was wrong. I hope she has changed her advice for nursing mothers by now, she is no longer our pediatrician.

Dr. Zbell and the staff at Pediatric Associates of Madison are wonderful. We have been with her since our first child was born in 2006. She as well as the other physicians in the practice are very caring, empathetic, and sincerely concerned about my children's health. She has never made me feel like she didn't have time to answer questions that I have when it comes to my children's health. I have recommended this practice to everyone I know who is looking for a pediatrician and will continue to do so.

I have 3 children and we have used Dr. Zbell for over 15 years! My daughter is now 21 and my older son is 18, they both have changed to new Dr.'s. They both really miss Dr. Zbell. She knows my children and family by name. She also, remembers their conditions without having to look at charts. I am not sure what the problems were with other patients listed below...but I have never had any problems that they have stated. I changed to Dr. Zbell due to another Dr. not following through on test results that resulted in my son having to go to the Childrens Hospital. I am thankful that Dr. Zbell is a part of my children's lives and that she is so caring and knowledgable. Thanks for being GREAT!

LOVE Dr. ZBell. We have been using her since October of 2006, and has ALWAYS listened and answered ALL of my questions. Dr. Zbell was very helpful. She even found something stuck up my daughter's nose that her allergist had missed and prescribed nasal spray for. Nose is clear, and my daughter is happy, because Dr. ZBell is a very efficient Dr.. Perhaps all of the people complaining were not asking relevant questions.

She is fantastic! My son went there till just this year (he's turning 18 and is 6'3" - very funny being with all the little kids). She always made him feel comfortable, answered all our questions and gave good advice. She gave him options (shots or oral meds)and was always interested in his medical situation and his life in general. I'd recommend her to anyone!

We had been using this doctor for two years and really took her advice seriously and liked her a lot, but she really changed and became intolerant of questions. All of the reviewers are right. I think she is not being very professional but she does have a Baylor degree so she has a lot knowledge. It must just depend on personalities and the families involved. Does she over-medicate? We think so. We are now doing a more natural approach with our new doctor using the "Disease Proof Your Child" book which as really helped our child. No more ear infections! Prevent, don't medicate after the fact! People in the Madison/Huntsville area are highly educated on the whole, and probably don't like doctors who dictate that they must do everything their way "or else".

The worst dr you can have for your child. She didn't like for us to ask questions about any meds, prescribed 6 antiboitics to my daughter in 1 st year of her life. Never recommeneded other options for ear infection. Will not recommend.

Dr. Zbell is amazing. She's patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful with children. I have not found her or any of the other doctors at her practice to be inflexible or any of the things the previous reviewer mentioned. They always remember me and my children by name. Twice now they've immediately diagnosed something in my child that it took my GP several visits to diagnose in me -- parvovirus B19 and fifth disease. Her instincts are great, and she takes great care of my kids. My daughter is allergic to about 90% of antibiotics that children can take, and Dr. Zbell and her staff were very patient with me in explaining how this will impact her life and treatment of potential future infections. I never want to see another doctor.

If you ask too many questions they do not like you at that office. They are very dogmatic about following their rules and inflexible. If you believe that doctors are always right you will fit right in. If you want to ask questions about medicines and shots, you will not be popular there. To my face they treated me very nicely, but when I missed my son's shots by a month, we received a nasty note kicking us out of the practice. It was entirely accidental that we missed them, but I think they wanted any excuse not have me take up their precious time asking questions. They would not even allow him to make up his shots, and if they really cared about him as a patient then they should certainly provide the shots to him and not just "emergency care". This was also a month before my older son was scheduled to have surgery. I feel betrayed and abandoned. I'm very sad that I ever recommended their office to anyone.
