Dr. Tak came recommended by my partner she always spoke of her positive experience with him. When I was looking for a PCP I decided to give him a try. I went in and requested labs. On my initial visit he was very short never asked why I wanted the labs just issued them and sent me on my way. When I returned for the results he gave me no explanation, he literally just read the results like high, decent, ok , high and no guidance on how to improve them. He has extremely poor bedside manners as he laughed in my face at my test results. His response is " haha wow your cholesterol is ridiculous, lose weight and come back." He took no time to explain to me what a normal range is, what range I should be in or what changes I can make or what medication I can take to help get it out of that unsafe zone. He was very dismissive of my concerns and rushed out before I could ask any questions. His solution to my health concerns was "lose weight". I understand I am overweight and prior to this I had already lost a significant amount of weight which is why I wanted to labs, I wanted to see if I had made any improvement. He was the first doctor I had seen in a long time because being treated exactly how he treated me was one of my biggest fears and why I put off going to the Doctor for so long. I guess if you are a small petite attractive healthy female like my partner is you get a completely different experience. I have not been back to his office since and would definitely not recommend. Since this experience everyone in my family has changed providers.

In May 2021, I accompanied my 90-year-old grandmother to Dr. Tak’s office. She had recently had two frightening visits to the emergency room for an alarming ailment (a potential blood clot), and this was the follow-up visit with her primary care physician. Because of Dr. Tak’s shockingly rude and inappropriate behavior at this appointment, we have decided that she will never go back to Dr. Tak again.

Upon entering the exam room, Dr. Tak immediately spoke to my grandmother with a raised voice, and an annoyed tone. As she tried to explain her ailment, Dr. Tak repeatedly interrupted her with the same loud, dismissive voice, discounting and contradicting her concerns.

When he suggested an alternative explanation of her ailment from the one that the emergency room doctor had given us, I asked for clarification, and he turned to me (acknowledging my existence in the room for the very first time) and actually yelled at me with an agitated, snide tone, “I don’t even know you.” I reminded him that I was her granddaughter and had met him several times, to which he rudely replied, “Well not in this office.” That statement was not true or even relevant. More importantly, however, he never answered my question about his medical advice, even after I asked him several times to please explain it to us. Instead, he remained silent and simply turned to his computer and started typing.

I was incredulous and appalled at this office visit. I have never imagined a doctor treating his patients this way, especially a frightened, 90-year-old woman, who had been his patient for several years. Dr. Tak is rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, and we will be finding another primary care physician.

If you are a drug addict, he is your guy. You like to take a ton of unnecessary medication, he is your guy too. Very sad. He was a good Dr when he worked for Sac Heart. Everything changed when he opened his own practice. All of a sudden he only cared about money and kick backs from drug companies. Switching to a new doctor was the best move I ever made.

He would rather become rich than care of others. The staff never smiles and no medication refills are ever done within reason. Dr Tak will prescribe anything under the sun than rather find out the root of the cause. Very sad and he should stick to the groove of weightloss than try to pretend to care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Taks for over 10 years. He has seen me through some difficult times and has always been compassionate and helpful. I love his honest, down to earth personality. He knows great doctors to refer you to when needed. His staff is top notch. They are very professional and efficient, quick to refill medications or send a referral.
Thank you Dr. Tak and Staff!

Dr Tak is terrible human being who is only after your money. Out of the blue, one day his office asked me to pay upfront for my office visit (my insurance hasn't changed in a decade). There is a surveillance camera in one of his exam rooms (GROSS!!) and unless he can get you hooked on addictive drugs, he doesn't care to help.

Dr Tak spends his time looking at the computer. He has never touch my body except to listen to my lungs. He did not notice I missed mammograms. When I noticed and went for an exam he did not contact me when they recommended a biopsy. When he got the report he asked to see me in the office = paid office visit. After reading about breast cancer I said, since my husband does not drive that I would prefer to get good or bad news at my home on the phone. He was angry, I guess because he could not bill me. I said if I have cancer I want to learn that at home and not have to drive, if I don't I want to relax and enjoy my birthday tomorrow. His answer: Well I am going to ruin your birthday because you have cancer. I asked him what else the report said and he said "invasive". He had nothing comforting or informative to say. My cancer surgeon assumes I understand the pathology report. I know from the imaging center that there are three sites and I have now to wait three weeks to even learn what I have. This is a cruel and uncaring man.

Dr. Tak diagnosed my condition as an allergy. I went to an allergist and found out that I have a serious condition, one in which Dr. Tak should have recognized. In addition, rather than write directions for me to OD on allegy medicine on a prescription pad, he wrote it on a pink sticky note. And, after seeing many doctors about my condition, non of them knew Dr. Tak in the medical community. He just wants your money and he isn't a research doctor, problem solver, he's just referrs you out. I also heard he is a "cash" doctor.
