Dr. Cortes has been my kids doctor for all 4 of my kids. Ages now are 27 through 15. Never once has disappointed me as a parent. When i became a mother at the age of 19 i was scared crazy. He has this calming nature as a doctor n as a parent. My kids n i love him. Very knowledgeable in his practice n will always get u help elsewhere if needed. If i had to do it all over again he'd be my first choice. God bless him n his family.

Please if you have a special needs child, please look into seeing another doctor..I wish I would have, maybe our son would bstill be here with us today...I've heard other people's experiences with him aswell etith their special needs children, nothing positive...I chose him because he WAS a good doctor to me as a child, and he had mentoned to a family member that he was " hurt" that he wasn't my first chose for my son. Even after a friend of the family had adviced me not to take him because of her experience with her special needs child, I didn't listen and I completely regret it

The wait may be a bit long but it is totally worth it. He cares for the health of his patients and will continue to take my children there until he are 16. I would recommend him to all my family and friends.

My daughter was very sick and we kept going to my regular pediatrician and we even went twice to the ER and on our second trip to the ER Dr. Cortes was on shift that night and he made the time asked question and ran tests and found out that the medication she was being given was not gonna help what she had he also ran tests which made me feel like finally some one cares enough to see what's wrong and what we can do to get better and he explained what she had and how to dispense the medication and she should be getting better in a couple of days he told me and thank god she did.. That's why I rate him a 5

One of the most wonderful docs I've ever met. He goes out of his way to help you out. Listens and doesn't talk down to you. A *great* doctor.

A wonderful doctor. He is a great listener and does not down play a parent's concerns. He is very conservative and will make all necessary referrals. The practice is large and it is hard to get in to see him but if ever you need specialized attention from a pediatrician, Dr. Cortes is the one.

We saw Dr. Cortez in the ER, but I have also had experience with the staff in his office. He was so very kind, knowledgeable and explained everything he was going to do and most importantly WHY things needed to be done. He answered all my questions with respect and listened to my concerns like I wasn't just some crazy parent with a sick child. He even visited with me about my son's name and asked about how we came to give it to him. He was both professional and just personal enough to calm me.

Excellent doctor. Works very well with the children and is extremely helpful with explaining problems to the parent. Would absolutely recommend him!

LOVE Dr. Edgar Cortes! Was recommeded to me by a friend w/kids when we moved to the area and what a find he turned out to be! Knowledgeable, patient, always able to recall my child even when it had been a long time since we'd been in. My son has asthma and Dr. Cortes helped him understand the disease, even helped him get over feeling insecure b/c he couldn't always do what the other kids were doing (my son felt "different" & Dr. Cortes turned it around to "special"). We were with Dr. Cortes for 7 years and were saddened to lose him when we moved out-of-state. His staff isn't always as good as they should be with response times and/or call backs, but if you can get past that, Dr. Cortes is worth everything!
