She really cares about her patients! She never made me feel stupid and answered all of my questions. She was happy to walk me through every part of my procedure and then my hopeful recovery. So glad to have her as my doctor!

Grande Prairie is so fortunate to have Dr Westra helping patients who are suffering from IBD, IBS, Crohn’s, Colitis and many other medical issues. On behalf of all us that she has helped, we thank you and are grateful that GP is your home. I have lived in BC and had terrible care by a gastroenterologist who was supposedly ‘amazing’ and ‘fresh out of school’ so was up to date with all the new info.. sadly I suffered needlessly with my disease for over 12 years. Upon moving to Alberta, and becoming hospitalized for (yet another) flare-up, and subsequently an infection in my bowels.. Dr Westra cake to my rescue. I am forever grateful to her for saving my life when I was at my worst.

Best Gastroenterologist I've ever had! I'm so lucky to be under her care as I know she's highly sought upon & can only take so many patients. Grande Prairie is so lucky and we are very appreciative to have her here! Thanks Dr Westra, Lindsay & the rest of the staff!

Dr. Westra was by far the best Dr I've seen, she was kind, informative, knowledgeable and explained my medication options. She also explained my new plan of treatment and reassured me. Thank you so much Dr. Westra!

It has been a very long time since I have seen a specialist who is this in tune with her patients - she is warm, caring, helpful and knowledgeable!! #1 quality I see is she treats me as a person. She had a consult with me, performed a pain-free AND discomfort-free colonoscopy, saw me for follow up, RX'd the appropriate medicine, and furthermore saw me for an odd complication of another nature that arose. EACH time treats me with the utmost respect. I highly recommend her if you can get your family physician to refer her to you. (DX: Previously thought Crohn's, is Microscopic Colitis.) Staff working with her is all excellent! THANK YOU, Dr. Westra! :) Has always been on time for me - yet - has never made me feel rushed. I agree with other reviewers, her explanations and treatment options are explained thoroughly and in a manner that is so easy to understand.
