We have been with Dr. Ben for over 10 years and I trust him with both my children's lives. I could do without some of his office staff but most of his assistants are great. I have seen other pediatricians from before we went to Dr. Ben and other ones that have been in his office and I can say that no one is like Dr. Ben. (Although Susan Williams is very good as well.) He is not perfect, but he is knowledgeable and he does really care about my children - something he never fails to show them at their appointments.

We have been with Dr Ben for 5 years. He has always been very good with my 3 children. He is very polite, thorough and easy to talk to. He speaks to my children not just to me which means a lot because that shows me that he really cares about them. At this time, only my son sees Dr Ben. My girls are pre-teen/teen and have switched to a female pediatrician as they feel more comfortable with a female (Dr Williams) doctor during their exams. My son finds him very easy to talk to and that's what matters! I would recommend him!

i had a bad expierence with dr. helgemo. i brought my son in because he had developed a rash sort of condition under his neck and arms. he told me it was heat rash. i decided to go to the same place but go with dr cepero. she immediatley diagnosed him with excema. he has no idea what he is doing. his nurse practioner is very rude also..

I love Dr. Ben. When I moved here from Phoenix i never thought I would find as great a doctor as I had out there. Our first two peds proved me right. Then I went to Dr. Ben he is kind, compassionate, takes his time and TALKS to my 3 boys not just us. I love his office staff. When my kids are sick they get us in the same day no questions asked. Thank you for taking care of us!

I liked Dr. Ben when he came to my parenting class and introduced himself. I have heard negative comments about him, but I have also heard people say that they would trust their childrens life with him. As for my wife and I, we dont always agree whith him but respect his knowledge and experience. He checked on our son minutes after he was born. Sometimes he and his staff is hard to reach, but when it truly counts they were there for him. His nurses are very nice also. My only problem is with the billing people. I have always payed on time but every time I go there they talk to me as if I dont pay or am not going to. Doc seems to have a lot of patients that could be one of the reasons why its hard to get through sometime. Bottom line, nowhere is perfect but Dr. B. has kept my boy happy and healthy and to me, thats whats most important. Also he also has a family amd he treats them well also.

my kids were new to Dr. Helgemo office..at first i thought it was alright..but then after..the people that works there were really rude and dont know what the heck they are doing..all they do is sit their ass and giggle all the time...they have no feelings for the kids when they are ill..i remember when my child got really sick..i call the doctor and wanted to bring my child the same day...they have to transfer me to the nurse cuz the nurse makes appointment to come in..everytime i call..she nevers picked up..i have to leave a message..it takes her forever to get back to me...by the time..it's already the end of the day...now, I cant bring my child in...i mean what the heck is that..just becuz we have medicaid...it doesnt mean that they have to treat my kids like this...we should all be treated equally even though we have insurance or not...after this, i'm looking for a new doctor for my kids! They are so undeducated and un professional! For realz!! Should not go to this doctor at all!

this is the best dr i could ever ask for...i highly recomend this dr...the staff are just so nice and sweet and helpful.the office is clean.u dont wait long.i give this dr a rating of 100 percent...good job...

Dr. Ben is the absolute worst peditrician I've ever seen. If you call him after hours he gets very ticked off and is rude to you. He talks down to his patients. He goes through business partners every few months because none of them can stand him. My suggestion would be to go to Dr. Susan Williams (she used to be with his practice). Dr. Williams is very loving and caring and treats her patients like gold. In my profession I talk to lots of new people moving into the area and I always steer them away from Dr. Ben and towards Dr. Willams. Save yourself the headache and start out with Dr. Willams.

I had a very unpleasant visit with Dr Helgamo. He was rude to me and very condisending. He seemed insensative to the fact that I was a new mom and had questions and concerns. Some of which he dissmissed as nothing, later were revealed by a specialist to be of some concern and special care. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, esspecially new mothers.
