Great experience. Some bleeding when my packing came out but after that it was a flawless surgery.

I loved him, fantastic bedside manner, very helpful with my questions. Removed Ployps from my vocal chords, and seemed to really care how I was feeling. Had a great experience!

Dr. Barker did not help me. Have a loss of smell and taste for 8 months. He said it could come back in 1 day or never. Just sent me home. He did send me for a CT of my brain, however. But I still have the same condition. Now I am seeking a second opinion.

I asked him a lot of questions regarding my illness, and he replied to 95% of them, "Yeah, I don't really know" and would sigh. A waste of time going to see him. Also, his carelessness during the procedure of cauterizing a blood vessel in my nose led to him burning a chunk of skin on outside of my nostril with the acid dipped cotton swab. Felt like he did what he didn't need to do and didn't do what needed to be done. Not a very good doctor.

Dr. Barker is a WONDERFUL doctor. I highly recommend him. I've had sinus headaches for 19 years, going to many doctors in America. In the past I was always given a 3 minute checkup and told to just live with my problems. I gave up going to doctors and just lived with the problem and in pain for many years. When I moved to Canada, I was refered to Dr. Barker. He sat with me and very patiently let me go over my entire heath history. I have chronic sinusitis and I was so grateful that he worked with me for many months to look at different solutions before he did surgery. He is extremly knowledgable and patient. When he did recommend I have surgery, he was very supportive as I was extremly scared. I feel very confident with him as my doctor. His secretary is also very wonderful works hard to get me in when I need to see him. Yes, he is busy, and sometimes you have to wait. But, that is because he is very respected by other Primary Care doctors who recommend him. He really is the best!

Sincere, professional and caring. Very concerned about your health problem, is quite willing to go the extra mile. We need more medical professionals like him.

I'm sitting here reading all these bad comments and can believe it. Dr Barker saved our baby on her first birthday. She would have died with out him. He was great and now sees our 4 kids now and ALWAYS is great with me and all of our kids. I have recommended him to family and friends and all of them are very pleased with him.

While in the waiting room listening to Dr.Barker talk to another waiting patient about school sports for about 10 minutes, with other sick patients, Dr Barker came in and looked in my ears. Never offered information of what he was saw, didn't ask if I had questions, then spent the rest of the time talking into his computer. Then with out explanation, walked me out to the receptionist desk to make an appointment for a hearing test. I had to stop him from walking away just to ask him a question that should have been asked in the room. In short his conduct as a professional was rude. Then charged my insurance over $300, our portion being almost $100 of that. For what!!!I've received more personal service from a nutrition store. Dr.Barker is an example of why the medical industry needs an 'examination'.

I was recommended to Dr Barker for chronic tonsillitis. After asking to be put on the waiting list (since my appointment was 4 months away) I saw him within 3 weeks of my referral. I had to wait about 20 minutes to see him but once I did I had his undivided attention. He explained that my tonsils were very large even when not infected and had large craters from the repeated infections. He gave me the option to take them out or let them be. We agreed they should come out as they would probably get worse as I got older. He got me in for surgery only 4 days later!! He met with me before heading into the OR and called my mother when I was in recovery to tell her about how everything went. He did an excellent job and I was almost fully recovered in 10 days. His secretary was great as well. She made arrangements to have my pre-op done the same day as my consultation and made herself available to contact if I had any questions or concerns prior to surgery.
