I came away from my appt. with Dr. Crislip feeling confident that we're on the right track. He's knowledgeable and willing to talk to other docs & read the literature. I respect & trust him and will call him if I need his opinion again.

When presented with a new disorder, at first admitted he didn't know anything about it (good), but later--two weeks later than he promised, said that he had perused the medical literature, found nothing but a discredited treatment, and given up. Was very snitty about anecdotal evidence---he doesn't like gray areas. Refuses to be out of his comfort zone; doesn't have a clue that he is also human.

Almost impossible to get a live body on the phone -- but once you get in to see Dr. Crislip, he is very up-to-date and knowledgeable. Good bed-side manner -- will answer every question and provide important details. Very supportive.

Dr Crislip saved my husband's life - he developed a postop infection after treatment at another hospital and was very ill and had not been appropriately treated. Dr Crislip got him set up with appropriate home IV therapy and the right drug for the infection within hours of our visit. Put in lots of extra time to make sure we got convenient care.

He was kind enough not to bother with unrelated small talk. I prefer brief and to the point discussions and this was what I got. He answered the questions I had and made sure I didn't have more before I left. He seemed as knowledgeable about my rare disease as could be expected.

Very arrogant and rushed. "Put down" other doctors as ignorant and quacks. His records show that he performed a physical, while in reality he did no physical. He ignored the medical records and lab work which I had brought with me. He was not helpful at all and said I would just have to live with my condition as he didn't know what it was. I felt as if he was just trying to get rid of me and had no interest in helping at all. I would not recommend him to anyone. The visit was probably the worst encounter I've ever had with a physician.

Arrogant and didn't listen to patient. Didn't gather any facts of the case including history and physical findings. Was blunt and very hurried. More concerned with correcting the patient's knowledge than helping solve the problem. Summation, "go home and learn to live with it." Would not recommend at all.
