Dr. Cheong always takes the time to talk to us, and to deal with our questions and concerns. Through one of these discussions about our daughter challenges with speech, Dr. Cheong recommended that she take a look. We had seen a number of specialists, without any success. She discovered that our daughter was tongue-tied. Dr. Cheong researched, collaborated with colleagues and shared information with us about our daughter's condition and possible solutions. We decided to move forward with surgery. No procedure like this is easy for a five-year-old child, but we completely trust our dentist. Dr. Cheong organized all the details of surgery, and used the latest facilities, technology and medication. When our daughter finished the surgery, there was an immediate improvement in her pronunciation. She told Dr. Cheong how WONDERFUL she felt and asked for a LOLLYPOP. I was waking up with tender jaw joints and fatigued facial muscles from night long slipping, sliding and grinding on my acrylic night guard. During the consult she clearly demonstrated that wearing night guards were not “saving” my teeth after all. No doubt the night guards reduced the damage but they did not address the cause of grinding, widely believed by the dental profession to be stress induced. My malocclusion, minor to the untrained eye, was causing dental havoc. Shirley patiently explained the problem, answered my questions and outlined my treatment and financial options. So at 51 years of age, I found myself in braces. Fifteen months later the braces were off, I no longer ground my teeth at night, wearing night guards was a thing of the past and, as an added bonus, the chronic tension in my neck and shoulders disappeared. I recommend Shirley because of her passion for dentistry, attention to detail and dedication to continuing education. She’s a five star dentist.

I am very glad that I found Dr. Shirley Cheong, and my problem was finally solved, which was a bit complicated and involving an orthodontist, a periodontist, and a dentist. Each of these experts had something to say, of course, but their opinions were different from or even contradicted each other. Also they seemed to care only about their own tiny area which they were to deal with, and everything else was not their concern. With them, I really didn’t know what to do. However, because of her vast knowledge of dentistry and the related areas, Dr. Cheong was able to see the whole picture of my problem, explained it to me, and gave me her professional opinion. And that was able to make me feel certain in order to make an informed decision. I would like to send kudos to Dr. Shirley Cheong. We have found, over the years that we have a good friend and advocate, not to mention the very best practitioner of her skilled profession anywhere. She always takes the time to talk and find out how we are doing. With the knowledge she gleans from those conversations she strives to help us get exactly what we ask for in her artful work. For instance, I asked her if she could give me back my smile and she did. She sees inside us to. She knows how we feel when we don’t look or feel our best. I am so grateful that I have Dr. Shirley Cheong taking care of my teeth. I have been with a few dentists and they did not know I had bite problem and the bridges made were not fitting. Dr. Shirley is very knowledgeable. She diagnosed my problem in the first visit and adjusted my bridge. My pain was gone that night. She made me a new bridge which is so comfortable that I feel "nothing" in my mouth. She explained everything in the whole process and guide me through. Her staff is very gentle and delivers the best quality of care. I am 100% happy with this doctor and will recommend to anyone who is asking for high quality dentistry.

Normally, when people talk of going to the dentist, it's in tones of dread. Our family looks forward to our dentist appointments with eager anticipation, because Dr. Shirley is such a wonderful dentist and person. Not only is she ultra-competent, professional and knowledgeable about all the latest advances in dentistry, but she is also a friendly and outgoing person who makes our appointments a joy.
