Went to see the doctor for pain in my arm. It was Friday evening. Dr. said his nurse was taken ill and was absent that day. He was supposed to give me places of recommendation for physical therapy of my arm and said his nurse would call the following Monday. She never did. Had to follow up 2 times myself phoning them, waiting on the phone for them. After a week the nurse calls, doesn't really give me places I could go to, doesn't even tell me in detail what I need to say to whoever I go visit. She gave me a number for NYU near where I lived, and says everything is in the notes of the doctor. When I look at MyChart, there is nothing. Not even sure who to talk to. I don't have time to keep chasing. Unprofessional. (Doctor's personality was nice. But as others mention in their reviews when he needs to provide you with places where to go to recover, he is very bad at that).

I don't believe the positive reviews. Dr Antell is clearly in it for the money . Although he seems kind and chatty, he is not knowledgeable and its evident that he doesn't care about giving an accurate diagnosis. Does not listen to his patients. He does not accurately examine his patients. He does not care about his patients pain. I went to Dr Antell because he came "highly recommended". This doctor is irresponsible, neglectful, falsely diagnoses, treats and offers physical therapy and even injections. The therapists are kind but even they are not focused. The doctor never follows up. The front desk is a NASTY disaster and all non medical staff that I dealt with were so rude. My whole experience here was frustrating!
If you are in pain or have an injury and in need of CARE and rehab please go elsewhere. There is no shortage of great docs in NY.

Professional scam artist. Dr. Antell told me that I could see him again for another condition even though I had already gone through my 8 sessions of physical therapy. He told me he did this all the time. He charged me only my copay every time I visited. He then proceeded to mark the wrong code in my billing to Aetna. My claim was denied but he never billed me so I never knew. FIFTEEN months after I received treatment, I received a bill from his practice. The practice was closed but he had sold off the debt. This was well outside of the range when I could appeal to my insurance agency. The company that bought his debt was evasive and did not inform me that the practice was closed until I pressed them. My insurance said I could still potentially appeal but would need medical records. I tracked down Dr. Antell and he refused to answer any of my calls and has withheld my medical records.

Disappointing. He proceeded to tell me what my back problems were due to without even asking me to point out where i was having pain. He is smug and full of "shtick". All smiles and ridiculous "shtick". When i left, i wasn't even sure I saw a real doctor.

My comments reflect experience and views formed by four-five years of seeing Dr. Antell when pain from injuries - and just ability to move - needed some excellent diagnosis, assistance and, when necessary, a referral. He is a thorough professional - and one whose caring about his patients is reflected in his excellent treatment decisions.

Shocked to see so many bogus reviews for this DO. I did not find him very knowledgeable or compassionate. He seemed to have something else on his mind and so I changed practioners after the first treatment.

Dr. Antell is an outstanding doctor who is extremely knowledgeable and patient. His diagnostic skills are uncanny and his treatment plans very accurate and reasonable. A true find in a City with no shortage of doctors.

Dr. Craig Antell is one of the top doctors in New York City. His diagnosis skills are exceptional and he runs a top notch rehabilitation center. Each patient is assigned a physical therapist who devotes their time exclusively to that patient on a visit. Other practices have physical therapists work on several patients at the same time. Dr. Antell's practice is the gold standard.
