This man accused my mother of "exaggerating" when she came in via ambulance after I found her laying in her own vomit and called 911.
He said he thought she had an inner ear infection and was going to send her home with drops. He clearly didn't even read her history because she had a vascular brain disease.
I had to yell at him just to get him to call over to UH, where they wanted her to come in right away.
Turns out she had a significant brain bleed.
If I hadn't have been a teenager at the time, I would have done more to get justice for her.
He is the epitome of a crappy doctor who dismisses women. This is why women get diagnosed less and often too late. Because of pieces of jerks like this.

Dr. Scheidel has been by family doctor since I was a small child, for over 20 years he has been an excellent, trustworthy, knowledgeable doctor to me and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking treatment. He is always honest, has wonderful bedside manner, and takes the time needed to answer questions. Wonderful doctor.

bit of a know it all - very talkative but speaks in riddles with no real advice. Really knew nothing about my condition at all. Gave me some BS answer and told me to follow up with my family doctor. Front staff are all awesome, nurses are great as well.

Absolutely a 5 stars. No one cares this much for their patients. He doesn't mince words. He gets to the issue and makes his diagnoses and you should follow it.

I give Dr. Scheidel 5 stars because he returned my call when I inquired about my Mom even though it was long distance. Most people wouldn't bother at all unless there was big money in it for them.. Thank you.

Nearly killed my mom. She came into the ER with severe vomiting and dizziness adding that her head was killing her. He diagnosed her with an ear infection and was going to send her home. I yelled at him to read her history and call her neurologist in London. Her specialist said she needed to be transported asap and once she got there they found a brain bleed that nearly killed her.. This man shouldn't be practising medicine.

Doesn't pretnd to know it all. Will explain issues and why things may be yhe way they are. Not afraid to order tests when necessary. ALL I N ALL an excellent family physician. We move into the area after finding a Dr. (Schiedel) although we didn't move to St. Marys we stayed with the health team there. Both my wife and I are very please with our medical care.

I saw this Dr. when my own was'nt available and although im thankful to his staff for getting me in to see a Dr. I can say that it was a terrible experience. He is very rude at times, has terrible social skills and will rush you thru the appt. I wouldnt reccomend him to anyone. He did nothing to help me, not even make a suggestion on how to help me. He looked thru my file and made horrible comments on my Dr. and her abilities. I was turned off by this and wondered how he could say such things about his colleague. In the end, he prescribed me a drug that I had previously taken for something else and I had serious complications with. When I was able to see my own Dr. She diagnosed me with the real problem and gave me sound advice on how to treat it. something dr. Schiedel did'nt come close to doing. I would hope he changes his attitude or find a different career. He is a terrible Dr. and I would'nt reccomend him to even treat my dog!!!!! I will never see him again. Very unhelpful!!!!!!!!!
