Both my husband and myself are extremely pleased with the care we have received from Dr. Scheidel . He has shown genuine interest , compassion and commitment to all of our concerns . As far as running late from time to time it is either an emergency or one of his patients needed the extra few minutes . Perfectly understandable. I personally have never found him to be in bad humor . As far as his knowledge of his job , if he is not sure he does not hesitate to refer you to a specialist or have the diagnostic tests done . We are very fortunate and privileged to have this young doctor practicing here in St Marys . I can attest to that personally as Dr. Scheidel saved my life and saw me through a dark time when our son passed away . Thank you Dr. Scheidel . Brenda Thom

Dr. Scheidel has poor communication skills and does not express much compassion for patients. He was rude at times and needs to work on these skills.

I have been seeing Dr.Schiedel since he started at the clinic. He is professional yet personable, a wonderful Doctor. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for the staff and one of the nurses. There has been several new receptionist within the last year. They are rude and not accommidating at all. They often take no accountability for mistakes. They are a patients first impression of the office and set the tone for the appointment. A smile and some understanding would go along way with patients. I feel the hostility and anger in their voices It also shows through their body language and facial expression. This can be projected onto the client, in turn putting the client in a hostile mood. We reap what we sow! I have one recommendation "treat others the way you want to be treated" If you give respect, respect is given. There should be a way to provide the doctors feedback on their staff and nurses.

Very bad tempered, not very helpful at all unless its something very straight forward and simple. He doesn't order testing promptly when needed even when its a serious matter. He doesn't listen, so he doesn't understand. Not sure what is going on with this doctor, but I took my family out of his care before anything serious was missed or not addressed.

Does not take into consideration the patients' concerns and often brushes them off. Poor listening and interpersonal skills. Poor bedside manner. Very short tempered. IMO should not be practicing medicine.

Yes I fully agree with a comment made on here, ; that he treats your care as a partnership, and he does listen. He assesses what you are saying, and another thing is I really get the feeling he is in it to do good, not for the money. You are in attentive hands with Dr. Schiedel, and that is re-assuring, lucky to have a trait such as that in a health care practioner. Colleen Briestensky

It's been an eventful year with Dr. Jon. A good young doctor who works with his patients and listens. He's busy...they all are in there, especially if they get called to the hospital. I'm satisfied that my care is in good hands. He treats my medical care as a partnership that I'm allowed to participate in fully. I'm quite satisfied with my care.

Running behind made his less interested in my medical concerns. Not all individuals are the same and he needs to listen to what the patient is saying.
