Not sure that he looked at my x-ray or my blood tests. Next time, I will ask the doctor what the results were to ensure that I know he did. Time with him was exceedingly quick. Unfortunately, I did not feel confident in his diagnosis but take responsibility for not asking pointed questions.

This doctor is rude and insensitive, which are negatives especially when someone is in extreme pain and/or distress. He appears to believe that telling people to leave the emergency dept/hospital is his primary function. In summary, some people should NOT be emergency room physicians and Dr Friesen is an example.

Dr. Jon Friesen is so cool!I cant say enough about him.
He is so personable and down to earth. He makes you feel very comfortable. I have been lucky enough to have him on my numerous emergency room visits and he always makes me feel safe and cared for.

I have never left a rating/opinion about anyone or anything EVER but this really deserved one. I received a courtesy call from a medical office to remind me of an appointment on the following day. Since I had her on the phone I thought I would mention a symptom that had developed since I made the appointment, she said she would pass it on and get back to me. She called back a few minutes later and said that she was sorry but l really should go directly to the hospital..so I did. Dr. came in I told him the story, he asked no questions, he was abrupt and rude. He said he didn't know why they ask me to come up to the hospital and seemed quite put out... he then left. Fortunately, I have an appointment with a specialist next week so I'm sure some questions will be answered. Hopefully, you won't be running into this particular Dr if you need to visit EMERG. FYI, the staff and punctuality were just fine but I didn't want to leave a good rating in that area in case it raised his rating as he does not deserve anything but a one-star ..if that?

Absolutely terrible. He told me not to come to the Vernon hospital and to go to the kelowna one instead. He didn't perform any tests on me and told me to see my own Dr asap.

the long wait was not his fault, he was kind, concerned, gave clear instructions, new what was wrong immediately, and got mr out of there quickly

I found this dr to be rude and non caring he is definitely in the wrong profession

This doctor was rude and argumentative to a chronic illness. felt unwelcome and embarrassed for going to ER even despite my pain levels being through the roof.

Very rude & rushed.
Felt like he wanted me in and out of the emergency fast than he could blink, he told my results in the waiting room in front of everyone. Than later I found out by my family doctor he actually misdiagnosed me, prescribed me wrong, & should have never let me leave the hospital in the first place.

This dr seems very overwhelmed. Maybe should consider another area of practice. He does not take time to assist you and doesnt even examine you. He wants you in and out as fast as possible. I have had to go to the ER unfortunately more then most people and this was one of the worst Drs I come across. Please get him more assistance and training in the ER.
