My medical situation is very complex, and I've been with Dr. Nahar only 7 months. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 times that we have met, has been because of a hospital stay but she had looked at my records and was pretty much aware of what my needs would be and listened to my input.

I have many serious medical issues and at 72 and am very involved with what they are and how to deal with them. Dr Nahar and I were on the same wavelength right from the start.

I've had many new doctors in my lifetime and she is by far one of the best.

very helpful, treats well, wait time is low, knowledgeable, explains things, office staff is helpful.wait time is very little.

When I explained I had a swollen lump on my leg Dr. Nahar felt it and said it was a fat lump and it could get bigger and there were no options. When I pointed out the bruise above the lump and that I had knee pain she said, "women are prone to bruises". With respect to the knee pain she said "the lump was nowhere near my knee". As she rushed through her notes I asked her how to confirm it was just a fatty lump. Her response was, "I don't know" she then left the room and came back in to tell me a general surgeon would call me on a month and she walked out, leaving no opportunity for questions. Luckily I skipped that system altogether and went to an orthopedic dr, I had a torn meniscus in my knee. I do not recommend Dr. Nahar.

I have the same complaints as the other two reviewers as far as being rushed out, ignored, talked over, and having concerns completely dismissed. Didn't look at me once while speaking, just typing on her computer the entire time..and brushed off anything I said, that of which she actually HEARD anyway...and that wasn't much. In the process of finding another doctor right now. After only one visit with Dr. Nahar, I knew for sure that I did not want to return.

I, too, feel that Dr. Nahar rushed me out of the office without answering some very important questions. While she seems very knowledgeful, she doesn't seem to have a good bedside manner.

Dr Shamsun Nahar is a very thorough and professional Doctor in her diagnosis. She followed up with me concerning something she noted in a simple exam where she stated to me that "she felt something out of the ordinary". Her suspicions later would lead her to determine that I had in fact cancer of the prostate. Her questioning and exam meant that she found my cancer at the earliest stages. She has treated me and my wife for many other minor illnesses and as a family doctor, I am absolutely completely at ease and trusting of her medical skills.

I would not reccomend this doctor at all!!! She and her staff are very rude. She is also very lazy, after waiting for her to see me for 45 minutes after my scheduled appt. she rushed me out of her office without even answering any of my questions or diagnosing the issue that I came in to be seen for. Save yourself the trouble, do not go and see her. She is not a good physician and you will be waiting all day just to see her for less than 5 minutes. Also it is very hard to get through the phone lines to make an appt. and when you finally do get a human person to answer they will put you on eternal hold. :-(
