Not impressed with Dr. Kunz. His key goal seems to be getting everyone on BioTe hormone replacement, which has to be paid for ($350) at the time of service, and they will not file a Medicare or private insurance for this procedure. Medicare won’t cover it but my secondary carrier will but only after it is first submitted to Medicare, which you have to do yourself. It is nearly impossible to get Medicare to even respond to a claim filed by a patient. An even bigger issue I had with Dr. Kunz was that I was kept waiting an hour-plus several times and left the last time without seeing him. I was driving 2 hours round trip and decided it just wasn’t worth it. Such a lack of respect for my time.

Dr. David Kung is the best doctor I have been to in a long while. I have been in a total of 4 times. He does a have a long wait list so be prepared for that but his physicianassistants that he works with are great for helping too. I actually saw one this last time I went in because I waS having an allergic reaction to a medication and needed to be seen asap. His nurses were nice to me and even his front desk offered me something to drink. I just like the office as a whole. Like I said the wait time is long for Dr. Kung but not so long for his practitioners. I'll stay with him as my doctor. He has really helped me.

Dr Kunz is a wonderful doctor- or at least, he used to be. What a shame that he is surrounded by the worst staff that I have ever encountered in a doctor's office. Starting with the idiot that he has as a receptionist, and ending with whoever called me (after FIVE days!!! of attempting contact) and told me that if I wanted to ask the nurse practitioner (who was already treating me) a question about how I was reacting to medication that she had prescribed me, I would have to make an appointment as she wouldn't talk to me over the phone. At all. Under any circumstances. I live three hours away from the office, and getting there in the first place was extraordinarily difficult. Incredible. No matter how nice Dr. Kunz is, the only way to reach him is his staff- and some barriers are too difficult (or stupid and uneducated) to cross.

Dr Kunz is a very caring, focused, experienced, and knowledgeable doctor. He answers all of my health questions clearly, but he is also interested in getting to know me as an individual. I trust him implicitly to make wise recommendations on my health issues.

After being a patient for over 18 years, 12 of those years being treated for fibromyalgia, I received a letter out of the blue stating that effective immediately, Dr. Kunz was no longer interested in treating my pain. When I called his office for clarification, I was told that he did not do phone consults & was directed to a staff member who rudely responded to my inquiry by stating that he can choose which patients to see & that, by law, he was only required to give me a 30 day supply of the pain meds he had prescribed to me for many years. I have seen this dr every 3 months for 12 years for medication check-ups & trusted that he had my best interest in mind. Obviously, I was wrong! Now I have to attempt to find another dr in less than 30 days & possibly face withdrawal symptoms &/or shock if not able to do so. This is certainly not ethical & does not seem legal, but that is the situation that Dr. Dave Kunz, owner & doctor at Perissea Physicians in Lawrenceville GA, has put me in.

I have gone to Dr. Kunz for 20 years and have always found him to be knowledgeable and willing t listen. Lately, I have also noticed his focus is more on his cell phone and his concierge business which I cannot be a part of. What does anyone else think of the other doctors in his office?

He isn't very punctual, if you need to be somewhere allow yourself about 3 hours total in his office, 30 min in waiting room, nurse comes in right away, to take vitals, about an hour to an hour and a half (if you go in the afternoon), but if you go in the morning the wait times are a little less but after 10am, forget it! I don't think he diagnoses accurately on some things, so it may take 3 or 4 visits to get your point across, and I don't like the fact that if you go in for a physical, your blood tests (if normal) are not mailed to you and you have to go back (up to a month later) for a 2nd appointment. He takes 72 to 84 hours to refill medication.
