My son was referred to Dr. Shethwalla due to poor weight gain, he was exclusively breastfed and had a poor latch, leaking milk while feeding either from breast or when he was topped up with pumped milk from bottle. It was pouring out of his mouth. Her solution was to up the nipple size on the bottle from 1 to 2 or 3. Even more milk was pouring out of his mouth and more was going in and he gained weight quickly. I was happy he was gaining weight but there was no solution to the poor latch. She said he did not have a tongue tie. I took him to a pediatric dentist and found out he had a posterior tongue tie and a lip tie. Once released his latch improved almost immediately and no more leaking. I fear for others who would have listened to Dr. Shethwalla and not looked elsewhere for an actual solution.

Dr. Shethwalla is an excellent doctor. She is always pleasent, as is her staff. She gives my children thorough examinations with positive results. We are lucky to have her as our childrens doctor.

Professional, patient and understanding.

I've had her for more than 10 years, and she is so patient when listening to what symptoms I have, and giving the proper prescriptions.
She does not judge when it comes to discussing sexual health, and makes helpful referrals within the community. Check-ins with her are a pleasure to make sure immunizations are up to date. Honestly, a hidden gem.

Went to Dr. Shethwala today for the first time and she and Gail are every bit as fabulous as I had read from other reviews. She was a little bit behind, apologized for it and thanked me for waiting then started talking to my child - her new patient. She took note of the list in my hand and we got down to it. She listened to every word I had to say. Conversation was very easy back and forth. She took so much time with us and I'm sure we put her even farther behind but she did not make me feel for one second that we were rushing through the appointment. I feel so comfortable with her already and so do my children. So glad I requested her for the referral. Her manner is just lovely.

Dr.Shethwala is by far my favourite ped. I have brought my kids to. We were new to town and she took us on as patients. She's kind, takes her time, and seems to get to the bottom of whats going on. She's very reassuring and never rushes you if you have questions. Her receptionist Gail is also great! They get you in right away usually. Love this practice!

I love her so much. I moved to guelph with my 1 day old baby from vaughan. I couldnt trust anyone with my baby's health except my OBYN (dr Cash). But my first visit with dr Nahid shethwalla changed everything to good. Her level of knowledge was helpful. Shes very patient and i get to ask ALL my questions. Good job

Dr. Shethwala has been our family pediatrician for more than 18 years. We were sad we had to leave her practice for my son as he is now over 18. Every single time we were there she was patient and caring and helpful. Very tactful when sensitive information had to be discussed and always mindful of the children. I wish she was my doctor. We have never had any trouble getting an appointment and Gayle is the best. Cant say enough good things about them.
