I have seen Professor Margaret Zacharin since I was a small child presenting to the RCH. Her prompt diagnosis of hypopituitarism that was missed by a number of Doctors and treatment over almost two decades has allowed me to reach full height and have a normal life. I have personally always found her and her employees to be respectful.

We call her St Margaret.
After many breaks my daughter finished up in RCH with a broken femur. Margaret found her out there and we started what is a life going treatment for O.l for our family.
After battling this hereditary disease over many generations in our family to the point of dispare we finally have a treatment, not a cure. Margaret you found the way.
We continue to see her and always will. No praise is high enough.

Dr Zacharin at RCH has been seeing my daughter since she was having growth issue (short stature). I don't think Dr Zacharin is rude - she is just a direct person and no sugar coating and tell me what it is (which I really appreciate). I cannot thank her enough for what she has done - her treatment for my daughter is spot-on - we are very happy. She is very professional, knowledgeable and very helpful (in her on way).

My son has been seeing Prof Zachrin for over 13 years and we love her, she gives him all the facts and includes him in the conversation. We could see someone closer but are more than happy to drive 6 hours to see her. I see some comments that she is rude, she is direct but I would rather that and getting the quality of care she provides than some warm and fuzzy dr that does not provide the same quality of care! My son is a very quiet reserved kid and has seen her since he was 18 months old and not once has she upset him. We cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for him. We find her quirkiness comforting and her knowledge outstanding! Cannot recommend her more highly! She really is amazing.

Totally unacceptable. Extremely rude. Margaret (not even going to call her a doctor as I am appalled by the treatment) put down my child and made her feel extremely uncomfortable. Cant believe the RCH allows for such behaviour. She needs to seek professional training on how to speak with patients and patients family. She needs to be taught basic communication skills as she is severely lacking them. Be mindful of how you speak towards younger individuals as you are 1. Conditioning them to think negatively of themselves and 2. Creating fear and insecurities. Not good at all.
Will definitely not recommend and will advise to stay right away.

She is an amazing doctor!! Cant believe people are complaining about her being rude. She may not be super friendly but she is at the top of her field and very caring. Proper medical care is what is most important, not how ‘friendly’ the doctor is.

Not Impressed at all. Dr Margaret Zacharin is probably the worst specialist I have ever met. It's not just about sugar coating things and being straightforward. She is downright dismissive, arrogant and uninformed about certain things. My daughter was scared of her demeanor towards her and I could see she was holding back tears. For heavens sake these are children, you do not speak to a child in a condescending manner. They don't have the ability to react as adults do and take things on the chin. I'm sorry but when it comes to children, care, compassion and reassurance is needed to some degree. No wonder kids hate adults. I know I did growing up. However I explained to my daughter that not everyone is like Dr Margaret and that good manners should never go astray. Anyway our problem was not resolved , it was an issue in regards to my daughter's height. "Oh she has stopped growing". I felt like saying no she hasn't because she has grown 2cm. A good specialist would have had her sent for a bone scan and conduct all the necessary tests to prove this. Please retire you are obviously bored of us. I can't believe I paid 235$ for an educated guess. I have informed my doctor who by the way is my brother in law about our scenario. He will not be referring any more patients to her. Avoid at all costs.

Margaret has been in my life for a very long time. When I was diagnosed she didn’t sugar coat it. She told me exactly what I needed to hear, the truth, I will forever be grateful for her honesty. She may come across as blunt but in all honesty, that is what people need to hear when their sick, what they have and how they’re going to fix it. She may not be very punctual, but, talking to the receptionist, when the other drs have 100 patients, she has 180, so cut her some slack, she is doing her best. I would highly recommend Margaret.

Margaret was extreamly rude, insensitive and nasty to myself and my daughter during our appointment at the RCH. She has no people skills. I demanded to see another doctor after her insensitive comments. I have no idea how she can consult patients as her interpersonal skills are lacking. I have no idea how anyone can rate this doctor. Might be time for retirement.
