This doctor is great. Very current and knowledgeable. Quick and no nonsense attention to all health matters. Excellent referrals to specialists, and easy to get in and see.

Left first appointment without much direction after presenting a concerning medical issue. Small office without any test facilities, lab work, etc. Everything has to be farmed out to other providers on your own time, then the doctor will review later. Would be nice to be part of a complete health care system (all in-house), but on the other hand, the doctor seems very accommodating when it comes to scheduling.

I am a female 79 years old an have seen many doctors in my time. Dr. H Charles is the best, he is always looking out for my health. He doesn't hesitate to send me to a specialist when needed. I will be seen Dr Heikkenen as long as I live in Prescott and continue to do as he instructs me. I thank God every day that I have him for my dortor.

Been going to Dr. H for years, I,m 70, lived in a lot of places and many MD's over the years. Dr. H is the best yet. He's patient, caring, explains issues clearly and follows through. If you want fluff and candy-coated approach go elsewhere. If you want direct, thorough and consistency I recommend you try Dr. H. His candor and fresh approach keeps me coming back.

Wow, I'm Not sure how to describe this. This Dr. Heikkenen seemed rather uncaring and projected a 'creepy feel' to me as a female that I can't quite shake. I had a couple minor issues that just needed some real, objective attention. Sorry, just need to pass this on to those who'll hopefully have a somewhat better experience.

He was terrible! Very rude and unhelpful. He put his person time off ahead of patient's scheduled appontment time. Couldn't wait to leave to go fishing! Did not address patient's concerns and health issues! I reported him to the AZ Medical Board.

I highly recommend Dr. Heikkenen! He is very thorough and knowledgeable in his check-ups finding possible issues through his required blood work that might ordinarily go undetected. He listens to your problems and follows up on every concern. Besides helping to keep me healthy, I will be forever grateful to him for saving my nieces life. Where other doctors had misdiagnosed her for many years- Dr. Heikkenen determined the right prognosis, helped in finding her a doctor to operate right away and literally saved her life. We are lucky to have Dr. Heikkenen in our town! And I must include that his office staff, Marie, is highly efficient and a joy to be around.

Horrible doctor. Did not listen to my concerns. Prescribed an antidepressant even though I specifically stated I did not want to be on one. Requires you to be “on the books.” Seems like he is trying to secure his job. Was told to be early and then ended up waiting forever in the waiting room. And I agree, he definitely relies strictly on blood work. BEWARE!
