Dr. Heikkenen has been my GP for close to 30 years. Very helpful, always cares about any questions or concerns I have. Now that I'm in my 70's, I really appreciate the 'Straight Shooter' approach to my health.

I have been going to Dr H since September 2022 and I am getting all of the tests done that I’ve likely needed for years. He is very caring and encourages me to follow through with his recommendations. He does dress casually and his office space is not brand new or in a posh location. But both appear to be clean but I haven’t used my white gloves to check. This is a small town and I find many offices to be less than comparatively. He doesn’t try to be a specialist in all areas of medicine but he always wants to follow up with me after I’ve had tests. I enjoy his sense of humor and feel he listens to me and wants to help me. Marie, his medical assistant and office person, does a great job…very efficient and knowledgeable. She always tries to accommodate my schedule and get me seen as quickly as possible. Marie listened to my heart and lungs at my first appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Heikkenen since I moved to Prescott 17 years ago and have only positive accolades to give to him and his staff. I have always been treated graciously and with the utmost respect. He goes above and beyond each visit and has helped me with acute care in addition to several long-term medical issues. Being independent from the local hospital/medical cartel gives him the opportunity to refer you to a specialst, when necessary, whether they are in Prescott or out of town. He is cautious and careful, yet not overbearing, I also appreciate the humor he and is staff have even when dealing with a difficult situation. THANK YOU Dr. H and Marie, from the bottom of my heart, for taking care of me for all these years! It's hard to believe, but I actually enjoy coming into your practice!

We would leave his office 6 stars, if we could. Marie has all the answers at her fingertips and is so good at getting us in, when we have issues. Dr. H is always direct, to the point and so very knowledgeable … doesn’t hesitate to get to the bottom of an issue. Both he and Marie are very thorough and very approachable. We have never felt rushed or unheard. Highly recommend these two.

Dr. Heikkenen and Marie are awesome. I have been seeing them for 6 years now and they always are helpful. If something is going on beyond their knowledge they refer me to someone who can help me. There's always a hug too. Thank you so much for being there, Doctor and Marie!

If it wasn’t for the Doctor and Marie. I would not be here today. They saw the symptoms that I was having and personally made sure I got to the ER.

Dr. Heikkenen is very thorough, intelligent and caring. He is not the type to coddle you, so if you are looking for that type of a doctor you wont' find it with him. If you want to know the facts about your health, just listen to him, he will tell you. If you need a specialist he helps you get one. Has a great sense of humor too!
Also, Marie in the front office is very helpful, courteous and accommodating, also very nice.

Dr. Heikkenen and assistant Marie are exceptional. Always readily available and efficient. Both my wife and I had previous serious, subtle and undiagnosed conditions that he detected and recommended excellent specialists to correct. He has been our family doctor for 14 years, and we only have the highest regard for the professionalism and excellent medical care from this practice.
