The worst experience of any dr visit. I have seen many doctors in the past and I don’t know where to begin on how condescending and evil this doctor came across. She didn’t take the time to listen to any of our concerns and kept interrupting us as our story didn’t matter. She appeared annoyed and I feel like she took her bitterness on us. I’m sorry she feels people waste her time. I will never ever recommend any parents to bring their children to this office.

This is what us, researchers, call a dianosaur. She obviously knows a lot, but she is the kind of a dinosaur of knowledge, meaning that she may not always be aware that kids grow at different pattern and she contradicts herself. blaming parents and shaming them even when it is clearly not anything they do is just old school. I am very confrontational and if I am blamed for something I did not do, I usually speak for myself, except when it is an old person who does that, but I don't know if it is a twitch, if she is autistic or something, but I really felt like telling her to stop blaming us.

This person is unbelievably ignorant and detrimental not only to children but their parents. She does not deserve the title of a doctor. Please spare your family further pain when looking for help and avoid this person at all costs.

One of the most unprofessional doctors in the city, who blames staff for everything.

Dr. Rutkunas is clearly a very experienced and thorough doctor, leaving no stone unturned. After referrals to other paediatricians, she has been the only one who was able to diagnose our daughter, which, had it not been diagnosed, would have sent her to the OR. I have read other reviews about how she talks with her eyes closed and won’t make eye contact, and I think it’s the same as a twitch for her; I don’t think she does it intentionally. Regardless, she is very effective and doesn’t beat around the bush. My family is eternally grateful for her attention to detail and knowledge.

Worst doctor I have ever encountered. Brought my 11 months old son in due to concerns with flat head syndrome and constipation, after a really long wait, the first thing she said to us when she came in was "what do you want", and then as I told her my concerns, she interrupted me and rolled her eyes then said "SIGH doesn't he have a family doctor", as if we were wasting her time because our concerns weren't big enough problems to her. That was an indicator that I should have just gotten up and leave, but I didn't and I so regret it. She was extremely rough when checking my son's head; it was as if she was pulling his hair off and that kinda force was NOT necessary, especially when my son wasn't resisting or fussing to begin with. I could see fear in my son's eyes and when he whimpered it broke my heart. When I started to tell her that my son has constipation problem, she just cut me off and said "it must be what you fed him" and she just left it as that. Okay doc, at least ask me what I've fed him before you just jump to that conclusion (because it turns out it's NOT what I've fed him that caused the constipation) or tell me what it is that I should or should not feed! I walked out of the clinic feeling like I wasted my time with problems unresolved and a terrible mother for subjecting my son to that kind of harassment. I can ignore the poor manner like no eye contact, the whole closing eyes when speaking, the condescending attitude, the cutting off, and the list goes on, but the way she handles and treats kids? BIG FAT NO. Please consider retiring.

She was the only one who could diagnose my child after seeing several other pediatricians. She was very thorough and knowledgeable.

I must have had the same experience as the last poster. It was absolutely shocking! She made us wait much too long. Her resident was great but became silent and showed fear once she finally arrived. Her advice was a complete joke, her comments were insulting and offered us nothing but extremely harsh medication. She was oblivious to the amount of time and research we as parents had dedicated to our child's issue. It was clear we were more informed than she was. We continued our own research and now our son is well with no issues. This experience was such a waste of time with terrible advice I felt compelled to warn other parents.

Dr. Ratkunas is knowledgeable but the least personable person I have met in my whole life. She has trouble making eye contact, terrifies her own residents and is not consultative with parents who are experts on their child. She also tends to treat her little patients with casual disregard. A relationship with a doctor is an intimate and vulnerable one... she seems to have a limited sense of the scope, humanity and compassion that modern day practitioners ought to have in their skillset. Terrible! And why does these ratings not have manners as a skillset? Or is that not required of specialists?

I have never met such an unqualified person who holds a degree. We were over half an hour early for BOTH of our appointments for my son. She was not punctual at all nor seemed to even have a care for that in the slightest. She then had the nerve to write a letter mentioning that we were late, WOW, perhaps she should look into Alzheimer's for herself. She then, after stuffing 4 of us in her closet sized rooms for 1hr, started her questionable diagnosis. I never knew her cat pictures on her phone was a professional practice now a days. Barring all the bs and above mentioned high quality of service she never even gave eye contact to anybody in the room and proceeded to show concern that was a problem with my son. Well you need to make eye contact with someone to diagnose this one would think.I'm sure the ceiling had issues since that got plenty of attention as this is where her gaze was for the the manority of the appointment. I actually made efforts to make this noticeable and she just ignored the obvious.

So after the above appointment we reluctantly came back for a second and again we were early. Once placed in another closet for an hour we decided she was too busy for little old us and proceeded to leave. She then marked us down as a no show!! Really? She must have been doting over the ceiling and never noticed our presence.

In conclusion if you enjoy long periods of time in small rooms, don't value an opinion from a true professional and don't mind lies in government reports then I suggest you go visit this peach. However if you prefer professionalism, a truly educated doctor, up to date practices and someone that may actually care for a person's well being please look elsewhere.
