I wouldn't ever see a psychiatrist except for her.

I have been a patient of Dr Asumendi for over 20 years. I highly recommend her. She truly cares about her patients.She listens to me and encourages me to listen to others and always challenges me to work on resolving difficulties I face in my life. I look forward to in person sessions again soon.

I have been working with Dr. Asumendi for 3 years. She is a very kind and knowledgeable psychiatrist and works hard to build trust with her patients, though for me it didn’t take long. She has been so helpful to me - from working through generalized anxiety to dealing with complex family trauma. I found her during a very hard period of my life and am so grateful I did - she played a significant role in my healing and growth. Also, since the pandemic, meeting over the phone has been seamless and just as valuable.

I've been seeing Dr. Asumendi for about 5 months. My main reason for coming was to comprehend and work through some childhood trauma. I'm also in AA (12 yrs), but AA can't help with some things and I feel sometimes you need outside help. While seeing her I was also diagnosed with depression. Luckily she deals in psychotherapy and medication management. I don't always feel comfortable around other women but has has a very soothing, calming manor which put me right at ease. I live in Indiana and I'm grateful my PCP referred me to her. I would definitely recommend her to others.

My name is Dan. I reached out to Dr. Asumendi during a period of extreme depression and anxiety. She is the only psychiatrist in the Louisville area, that I have found, who actually listens to your problems. Most of them give you fifteen minutes and out the door. I would have never known about her if not for word of mouth. She helped a family member who also was going through a tough time, and got him back on his feet. I'm thankful that she is in Louisville.

I reached out to Dr. Asumendi when my alcohol/drug abuse caused me to hit rock-bottom despite completing a 90-day inpatient treatment program earlier this year. IN SHORT, DR ASUMENDI SAVED MY LIFE‼! Her compassion and ability to listen allowed me to be vulnerable to get past my anger and emotional insecurities to identify what triggers and motivates me to abuse substances. Through intense weekly therapy, she facilitated me to understand my mental, spiritual, and emotional needs for me to move through my past trauma to increase my chances of long-term recovery

Can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Asumendi.

I've been seeing her on a regular basis for around 4 months for help managing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

It was difficult to find a psychiatrist who does psychotherapy in addition medication management. It's even more difficult to find a doctor who's as personable and easy to talk with as Dr. Asumendi.

Dr. Asumendi has been my therapist and psychiatrist for years. She has helped me to overcome my depression and anxiety and become and remain a productive professional and loving and capable parent at the same time. She recently saved me and my sanity during a period of severe panic and anxiety unlike anything I had ever experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Asumendi and really can’t say enough good about her.

Dr. Asumendi was able to diagnose and treat my anxiety in a way no other counseloror therapist has in the past. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate in her care. I look forward to my sessions with her as I always feel she truly cares about me as an individual. She is very knowledgeable about medications as well as gives tools to use in my everyday life. I absolutely love her and am grateful I found her when I did.
