Doctor was rude and dismissive, would never go back. Left feeling completely unheard and disrespected.

I'm not sure why there are reviews for Dr Gopal on here. He and Dr Vernick share a practice but are not the same person.
Dr Vernick changed my life, after struggling with numerous surgeries to repair my ear drums and restore my hearing as a child at Children's Hospital I finally found Dr Vernick in my teens and after he repaired both my eardrums at age 15 I haven't had a chance since. I still see him for the removal of impacted wax and check ups but 17yrs later he is still the same wonderful compassionate and brilliant Dr as he was initially. I feel so fortunate to have found him and recommend him without hesitation.
*sidenote*. People shouldn't expect bedside manor or this great personal connection to doctors, ESP surgeons, it's not realistic. You want the best in their field and for them to fix your medical condition. Finding one who you like personally is simply a bonus. Some of these reviews are just silly... And have nothing to do with their medical credentials.

Dr. Vernick is very understanding Doctor takes the time to explain what is going on. I have seen him for over 36 years I highly recommend him.

Dr Vernick listened to my complaints although my ,ringing in my ears is complicated I felt better after a hearing test that I was stabilized and would comfortably return without hesitation.

Dr. Gopal is one of the most obnoxious docs that I have ever had to see. He stands in the hallway and yells at people and the entire waiting area could hear him. I was in the exam chair when he called a staff member in and berated her about something missing. I would not return given the lack of compassion demonstrated. He should be ashamed of himself on how he represents his practice.

I dont know which doctor this previous comment was about but it certainly is not about dr. Gopal. This doctor is extremely rude and thinks he is god's gift to you. I myself had the experience of terrible bedside manner. I also beleive he has anfer issues and should be well known for this problem specifically. After my 2nd visit with him i knew i would never go back. I thought he was going to attack me with his anger! A close friend of mine also went to see him for a short time and tolerated alot more than i would have! She finally decided she was not going to take his abuse any longer---both mental and roughness in his procedures! She just didnt know any better until she went to see another ENT. I would never recommend him to anyone!

this doctor has no manners i wish i knew about this web site years ago. lost my hearing not saying it was his fault but had no bed side manners and could care less about how i felt...

Some years ago, he was the only doctor of four whom I saw who made an accurate diagnosis of a vexing ear problem that other docs were going to treat wtih a painful, invasive, totally unnecessary procedure. Have continued to see him at frequent intervals for a more minor but chronic problem. Extremely knowledgeable, unfailingly gracious; never manifests the overbearing ego so prevalent among doctors despite his (well deserved) much-in-demand status. I consider myself fortunate to have found him.
