I have been seeing Dr. Reese for several years for my Multiple Sclerosis. Everyone in the office is professional and helpful, plus friendly. I recently moved from downtown Scottsdale to the far east Valley, but refused to change to a neurologist closer to where I live. I am very pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Reese. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable neurologist.

The Dept of Labor made an appointment with Dr. Reese at their expense to evaluate me for a workmans comp claim I had submitted for a workplace injury (MS Exasperation due to an assignment at temps above 120 degrees x5 hours). My neurologist (x5 years) diagnosed me with MS after this work assignment caused a massive flare. Dr. Reese after a one hour appt determined that I did not have a flare due to the assignment (flare started during the assignment!). Then he sent me a bill for the exam! The billing service hung up on me when I told her that the DOL was contracted with the Dr. and they made the appt, I had a letter to prove it. She said he was not contracted with DOL. I called DOL and they said they would take care of it. Today I got another bill two months later, telling me to contact my attorney for a "settlement". Are you kidding me! Incompetence from the beginnning to the end. Too bad I can't sue him for causing MS flare due to stress.

Dr. Reese is an outstanding doctor. He will explain tests taken as well as a plan of treatment. He has always been on time for my appointments. Dr. Reese or his staff will always get back to me if I have a question. I would highly recommend Dr. Reese.

He is arrogant and does not listen. He believes he knows everything and I would not see him again. Very rude and abrupt.

Top notch, extremely knowledgeable doctor. Spent almost 60min with me reviewing my MRI's, examination and thoughtful discussion. He is thorough and explains what's going on as well as treatment options. I had no issue with him not listening. He's direct and to the point - the way a doctor should be. I finally know what's wrong with me and he's fast tracking treatment/further testing. Staff could be a bit more cordial but I wasn't there for leisure/conversation. Scheduling the first appt. was very frustrating however I put myself on the cancellation/wait list and got in within 5 days. There's a reason why my Primary Care doctor and several ER docs recommended him. The guy is very good at what he does.

I had a Monday morning appointment at 9:15 which I had to cancel because I came down with the stomach flu over the weekend. I tried calling the office at 7am but they did not open until 9:00. I called back at 9:00 sharp & was told I could not reschedule an appointment at all because I did not give 24 hours notice! I asked them how this would be possible since I fell ill over the weekend & they said it wasn't but still would not schedule me an appointment. Obviously this doctor does not care about helping patients & only cares about his bottom line. For a doctor to not understand that people get sick & need to reschedule is hard to believe. I guess he would rather me come to my appointment & pass the stomach flu onto everyone in the waiting room.

I was referred to this neurologist for migraines. He's a good clinician with no medical board disciplinary actions. He ordered all the appropriate diagnostic tests to rule out other disorders, and put me on preventive medication. However, I've found him to be rude and arrogant at all appointments. He interrupts constantly when I try to describe my symptoms; he'll ask me a question, but doesn't give me time to answer it. Instead, he either goes on to the next question or argues with me about what I'm saying. I told him I'm allergic to aspirin and he bullied me into taking it anyway, stating that it was probably an "intolerance," not an allergy. I had an anaphylactic reaction. He gave me another medication. I couldn't tolerate the side effects so I stopped temporarily. He became angry. If you don't do things his way, he has a meltdown. I always got the bum's rush; felt that I didn't get my questions answered. Two of his colleagues (another practice) say they feel he's arrogant.

I took my 85 year old father to reese. All we needed was something to help my father sleep at night. reese did ~5 minutes of memory tests and concluded my father had Alzheimers. Reese insisted on getting a brain scan done, then we had to wait another month for the results of the scan, which was another appointment. The appointment to discuss the scan results, reese was 30 minutes late, and we were his first appointment of the day. At the end, reese refused to write a prescription to help my father sleep at night--I told the jerk on the first visit all we wanted was a prescription to help my father sleep at night. Go find a real doctor.
