The appointment began with Dr. Badahman asking what he could do for me. I told him I was very concerned about the numerous serious symptoms I have been experiencing and the correlation to the pathogens identified by the IGeneX testing. He picked up the lab report, violently shook it at me, and said, “How did you get this?” He shook the document in an even angrier voice and repeated, “How did you get this?”
I was stunned. I explained that I had been searching for a diagnosis for over 12 years. He said something to the effect that there is no such thing as chronic Lyme (CDC position) and suggested intravenous antibiotics. I questioned why he thought I should have intravenous antibiotics if I didn’t have Borrelia, Babesia, or Bartonella – in conflict with the symptomology and supporting labs. In his notes on MyChart Dr. Badahman states I have a ‘perceived’ illness, contradictory to symptomology and labs. Additional notes do not accurately reflect the consult. One of his recommendations is even a question I had included for discussion on my typed pages of symptoms and concerns. His hearing is so bad that he asked me to repeat myself many times. I will consult with other physicians I trust; he is not on that list.
