Why does he continue to practice? Rude, insensitive, condescending. He is unlike any doctor who has treated me. His apparent disdain for patients is palatable. Read the other comments on this site as well as others.

I have been seeing this doctor for 2 1/2 years and lm looking for one that truly has my best interest in mind! He hates when l ask a question about my my many issues.. tells me, that’s not what lm there for today! Thank god l only see him once a year! Looking for a true caring doctor, that doesn’t knock me down just for asking a question! One that cares and their office doesn’t call me to yell at me for needing a refill on my medication! Answer the call to my pharmacy and l wouldn’t have to!

Arrogant and rude. He berated me for things in my chart, because there were medications listed that I dont take anymore. ..within 3 minutes. I said "well i dont know whats in there, and I don't have the access to remove those items from the list."
I actually had to tell him that he was making me uncomfortable.
Do not visit this doctor.

after going to Dr winter for 8 monthe with a complaint of swollen ankles and alot of burning pain on my foot I finially went to er without a appointment and had another Dr tell me I had no pulse in my foot at all, my toes were blue and painfull. I imediatly went to asante ER and got checked and they said the same thing and mentioned I might lose my foot, 2 weeka ago I had 2 stents in my legs and a right femoral endarterectomy by a surgeon. had I not gone into providence and seen another doctor Im afraid I may have lost my foot as winters kept telling me to lay down and take water pills. he never checked my foot for a pulse and didnt seem to care much.Im not out of the woods yet. going back to my surgeon tomorrow for a follow up. I think I should seek legal advice but a attorney in Medford told me he couldnt help me as it would be a conflict of interest for him as he uses winters for several car accident cases so I will have to contact someone in eugene or portland. I am very angry that I had this pain and swelling for such along time with no pain meds or no concern that it was so serious. my heart is out to all of you who had to live with any pain or uncaring from him..good luck to all of you
who have had the misfortune of choosing him as a peimary doctor. I will never go back to him. seems he is only good in car accident cases

I have never been treated so badly by a doctor in my life!! He immediately belittled, disrespected and insulted me right from the start. I immediately wanted to walk out of the room however, the appointment was for my son, who is 19 that has Autism and I brought him to Dr. Winters for a condition he has been experiencing. My son struggles with social anxiety and communicating his feelings which makes him feel uncomfortable, (part of his autism conditions) that is why I came with my son to support him. I called to complain to administration and of course no one was available. I was telling the lady who answered my call at Providence and she ask me to explain my experience and I just broke down and couldn't finish my conversation. The Core Values that Providence is promising is a LIE! After reading these reviews, which I should of read first before going to Dr. Winters, I don't understand why he is still employed by Providence. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

It took 7 months to get my cancer diagnosis and he never figured it out. It was only discovered through a medical emergency. He put me off and minimized my symptoms.

Doctor Winter has a terrible bedside manner. I agree with the comments below; he always answers with a smirk and sarcasm - exercise and change eating habit and you'll be fine; no matter what your complaint may be. My husband went in for stomach pain, and was told he eats too much - 2 weeks later he was in the hospital ER and had his gall bladder removed. I also am looking for a new Primary care doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Winter for 3
Years. He always belittles what I tell him is wrong and what my symptoms are. I have been suffering from migraines for years. And have recently had anxiety. He said the migraines are probably from my anxiety, and that he can't/wouldn't give me migraine meds while on anti-anxiety meds. He said that my migraines are most likely from anxiety. He wouldn't listen when I told him migraines run in my family, and I've been suffering for years...before my anxiety. He suggested that I relax, walk, and meditate. And that basically he couldn't help me with either. SERIOUSLY?!? I have gone to see him Before this over the years for other problems that he 'shrugs' off, almost with a smirk and sarcasm. He doesn't listen to what I'm saying and then he twists it into his own thinking. It's absurd. I'm seeking a new primary ASAP.

Not knowlegable and has an awful bed side manner. He didn't know much about my condition which is not an uncommon ailment.
