I saw the reviews on this website before doing everything in my power to have him as my OB, after all, due to my history, previous pregnancy, and previous medical advice, it was just a matter of time for my pregnancy to become high-risk.
Up until then, everything was fine. However, the moment the medical issues start to develop, things went downhill.

He would dismiss all my concerns, would not listen and honestly, didn’t seem to care at all. He’s arrogant. After birth he said: “you’re not my problem anymore”, even though I still needed treatment.

He’s great if you have a normal pregnancy, but if you’re a high-risk patient, stay away.

Honestly he is the BEST OB you can get!! I had him for 2 of my pregnancies. My second pregnancy was a twin pregnancy and he was amazing!! I build I relationship with him. I loved seeing him and will actually miss him as a doctor! He is the kindest, MOST a knowledgeable!!! Cares about your babies and pays attention to their health. He calmed me down so many times and I would definitely recommend him! LOVE THIS DOCTOR!!! And the nurse Kathy is amazing too! The whole office. Honestly best care you can ask for!!!!

If you are lucky enough to garner Dr. Berger as your OB, count your lucky stars. Every review below is accurate. He’s incredibly kind, thorough, knowledgeable and has a good sense humour. Yes — his clinics busy and wait times can be excruciating - but book first or last during the day and times are reasonable. Dr Berger indulges every question you might have and his answers/explanations always satisfy your concerns. One of the residents explained to us how he’s a marvel at ultrasound readings so having heard that was another comfort. I can’t imagine having gone through my first pregnancy with anyone else. He was not on call when I delivered (which was so upsetting) but stopped by to say hi and check on us. Brilliant doctor in care and professionalism!! You know he loves his job.

I had a natural vaginal birth at St. Michael's hospital in 2016. Dr. Berger was the one who delivered my baby and I feel that both he and all the nurses were THE BEST. My baby was born after 15-20 minutes of pushing and I loved that Dr. Berger put coconut oil on my vaginal opening as my baby crowned in order to help my skin stretch more and to help my son come out easier. I actually had ZERO tearing and this was my first baby!! He also has a very upbeat and sincere personality which I really enjoyed. He is a very goid doctor and person all-around! Highly recommend. :)

My first pregnancy. I had a c section and overall had no complications. The surgery went smooth. It’s just St Micheal’s hospital’s nursing staff were literally unkind( don’t want to say cruel) unfortunately and made it so difficult for me during three day stay there.

Dr. Berger - who was NOT MY DOCTOR - saved the lives of my twins at 18 weeks by interpreting the notes of another doctor, calling me out of the blue, performing an ultrasound, confirming the condition with the cardiologist, and sending me off to surgery at Mt. Sinai - all within 24 hours. This man is my hero, and I will be indebted to him the rest of my life. According to the two surgeons, my twins would have likely died within the next day or two without the surgery - if he hadn't been so eagle-eyed and proactive and caring and just an absolute hero.

Dr.Berger is an absolutely incredible doctor. Not only is he kind hearted and has a great sense of humor, he is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, trustworthy and puts your mind at ease if you are facing challenges. He cared for me during the pregnancy of both my boys (Dec 2013 and Nov 2017) and I am extremely grateful for him! Not once did he make me feel silly for asking lots of sometimes silly questions, and even though he wasn’t on call when I went into labour with my second (hoping for a VBAC) he happened to be in the hospital, heard that I was in labour and stayed back to help me deliver!! We were successful in the VBAC! He then popped around afterward on a few occasions to check on me. This is a doctor that cares immensely about his patients. If you luck out in getting him as your OB, you will be in the best of hands.

Great human being and super experienced high risk doctor! My issue was short cervix and he fought tooth and nails to get our baby to 35 weeks without needing cerclage! I am happy I trusted him in the end, even though I gave him a lot of troubles around the 24 week mark! Gentle, kind, funny, caring and knowledgeble! He made the decision to induce at 35, as the water had broken! He came in at 6:30 am to make sure The baby and I were ok! We can’t thank you enough!
