Wonderful experience with Dr. Buck, nursing staff and the rest of the stroke team during my hospital stay. This was a scary experience but I am back home now. I feel confident I am in good hands.

Have had him two years. He refuses to try to help with my hemipeligic migraines. Tried one shot and since it didn’t work he isn’t trying anything else. Ghosted me after my last appointment and has not returned my family doctor or disability’s emails and calls. Highly do not recommend him. He treats you like you are stupid and like it’s your fault.

I have been a patient of Dr. Buck for many years. He is kind, compassionate, detailed and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the extra hours he has spent helping me navigate a dispute with my insurance company and he has always been a strong advocate on my behalf.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! Absolutely no interpersonal skills or empathy. He needs to realize that the pedestal he has himself on is invisible to the people around him. A legend in his own mind.

I can’t thank Dr.Buck enough for being such a great and knowledgeable doctor! I had the chance to meet him when I had a terrifying emergency visit at the U of A. I was brought in because I had all signs of a stroke - confused, couldn’t speak ect.. long story short he was the ER Dr. that day and took great care in trying to get to the bottom of what was going on. It was determined that it was not a stroke so he took me on as a patient at his clinic and followed me for the next year and a half sending me for regular MRI’s and other testing until he got to the bottom of what was going on. He then referred me over to Dr. Jennifer McCombe (who is just as amazing) who diagnosed me with MS. I am now in “remission” if you’d like to call it that and am doing great! I can’t thank him enough for being so patient and not giving up on me when we couldn’t figure out what was going on! If you are one of his patients you are in great hands!!

When he referred me to Dr.McCombe he also mentioned that he’d like to follow up to see how I was doing and what McCombe found and diagnosed me with. I didn’t end up booking because he left me in great hands and I didn’t want to waste his time but such great bedside manner!!

When our 24 yr old daughter suffered her strokes he very calming explained to us her condition and what we could expect in terms of her treatment. We’d recommend him to anyone. As of today she had been in the hospital almost 5 weeks and he still is checking up on her.

My husband was discharged from two emergencies rooms before seeing Dr. Buck. He immediately picked up what was causing his strokes and arranged for him to be admitted to hospital for an urgent surgery. I found him to be a kind, knowledgeable, and extremely devoted doctor. Thank you. LV

Dr Buck is condescending and pompous, completely lacking in bedside skills. Luckily my fathers care following a stroke was entrusted to another very professional and compassionate doctor as our first days with Dr Buck were most concerning.

Very dissatisfied with Dr Buck. On first visit he didn't even introduce himself. He came in , asked what the problem was , then got up & left the room without saying anything . Next thing we knew a long haired young man came in & introduced himself. We later found it was the Resident. He made a diagnosis of migrane headaches , prescribed some pills & then Dr Buck came in . He simply said I agree with Dr willis , then got up & left again. On the second visit he sat with his back to me & only talked to my wife , completely ignoring any thing I said. He prescribed some more pills & said he would call in 6 months. We have now left several messages with his nurse to see if we can increase the dosage & have had absolutely no response. We will be asking our family Dr for a referral to a different Dr !! Dr Buck may be very knowledgeable but what good is a dr that you can't talk to ?????
