This dr and his staff are a complete mess. Prepare to wait and be jerked around. They do not bother returning phone calls (at all...repeatedly.). He is habitually very, very late. No one there seems to have any regard for anyone's time or energy except their own. A disrespectful disaster.

As a former veteran I am diabetic and need to have my feet checked regularly. I found Dr Dershowitz in Google and have seen him several times. After seeing him my first time he recommended that I take vitamin supplements (that he conveniently sold) to help with my neuropathy. I went ahead and purchased them and also had a biopsy of my nail sent to lab for a nail fungus evaluation. I was never called back and given my results. I also have 2 daughters that recently needed their big toe nail removed because of an injury and the other because of deformity. My health insurance just renewed and I knew that I would be paying out of pocket until my deductible was met which I am accustomed to because of my wife's Muscular Dystrophy. I have been used to meeting my out of pocket maximum all these years. At the appointment I was told I had to pay $160 for my daughters procedue even though my co-pay is only $40. The office manager (who is the doctors wife) told me that I had not met my deductible and needed to pay right then. I informed her that I would only pay my co-pay and then when I got my explanation of benefits I would pay them directly after the claim went thru my insurance. She told me that I purposely had the procedure done prior to payment and embarrassed me in front of my daughters as if I had no money to pay which I ended up paying anyway. She then said that I needed to buy to post op surgical kits (which they conveniently sold) and that those were not covered by insurance. I proceeded to buy them and went about my way. A few weeks later at the post op visit, I signed in and she told me she preferred not to see me because I was rude and that I needed to pay for my visit upfront. it would not be covered by my insurance. I immediately called my insurance and they said my visit is covered, either way she made me pay for my visit instead of going thru the insurance plus I paid my co-pay. Along with paying I was told by his office in the open hallway that I had to be diagnosed for nerve damage because of my diabetes where I clearly was embarrassed with a hallway full of patients and an entire lobby hearing her tell me about personal medical condition, clearly in violation of HIPAA. At the end of my appointment the Dr said he would decline to see me again and had the audacity to say I should go to the VA hospital (knowing of the bad service at the VA). So he took my co-pay, sold me eucalyptus oil, and made me pay the procedure, after having given him my United Health Care PPO insurance. This doctor and his wife have some nerve. I should have listened to the other reviews that have experienced the same things. Thank you for taking the time to read this Veterans horrible experience with this Dr and his wife.

I saw Dr. Dershowitz in his Glendale office for pain that I had in my ankle. Dr. Dershowitz spent a lot of time evaluating me and explaining my nerve compression condition. I am very pleased with my results and I highly recommend him.

I saw Dr. Dershowitz after reading a lot of great reviews online and it was the best decision I ever made! I had numerous problems with my foot and he showed great care and presented me with multiple options to treat my ailments. My feet are finally pain free and I'll be back for a check up soon. I would recommend Dr. Dershowitz to anyone!

I have never met a more caring physician who has taken great care of my entire family. I have brought my children to him for treatment of their flat feet and they are now no longer in pain and are running and playing with their friends. I have recommended him and his staff to all my friends and have sent him many patients over all the years I have known him; everyone exclaims how pleased they are with his treatment and the entire crew in the office.

He is with out a doubt the worst physician (if you want to call him that) in Arizona. The medical board has wanted to pull his license for YEARS - but for some reason has just not been able to do so - but they should. He single handed ruined my life - causing me harm which I will never recover from - and his actions have snow-balled in to a variety of other medical problems that have caused YEARS of pain, and Thousands of dollars. RUN people - Run......

I have had heel bone spurs for many years and have gone to Dr. Dershowitz for a long time to get my orthotics. Last year the pain in my feet got so bad I could not be on my feet for more than a hour without pain. It was impossible for me to do my volunteer work.

I went to Dr. Dershowtiz and discovered I had bone spurs on the top of my feet. He did surgery on one foot then the other, a month apart. The recovery was rough and 3 months in I was very discouraged. The pain was still bad. Dr. D suggested the MLS Laser therapy. I was skeptical and my insurance would not cover treatment.
Dr Dershowitz and Dr. Lee told me it would get better. So I went for it.

Ten treatments and by the fourth I was better, By the tenth treatment, I was volunteering again. Trial and error with finding the right shoes for me. I am pain free now.

I did so well, I told my son who has carpel tunnel in his feet. Surgery is not a option for him, so had the laser also. I am happy to say after four months he is better, and getting better all the time.

I trust both these podiatrists with my care. I believe they can help you too.

THE WORST EVER!!... Very late! I waited for 2 hours!! I heard every consult before me as he does not close his exam room doors, Talk about PRIVACY....Before xrays and all the typing he does in his laptop not making eye contact with me he starts talking about his new "Cool" laser therapy, that of course insurance does not cover. I did not deny treatment, but when I told this so called Dr. more like a USED CAR SALESMAN, I would do my own investigation before proceeding, He simply dismissed me and walked out of the room!. Very rude I would look into another office before coming here.

I started having severe pain in my left foot. After a series of tests I was diagnosed as having diabetic neuropathy. I decided to do nothing, against Dr D's advice. One day the pain went away-- my foot was completely numb. This makes walking very difficult. Dr. D performed a surgical procedure called "three nerve decompression. The result was magical. Before the op I felt nothing. After the op my foot was ticklish and sensitive. Six months later my right foot started feeling the neuropathy. I had the same procedure, with the same results. This was over 10 years ago and my feet are still fine! The recovery wasn't much fun, but the results were wonderful.

I went to see Dr. Dershowitz for a very painful ankle. I've had arthritis for over 20 years and can barely move my foot. When I get out of bed, I limp for several minutes until it gets "warmed up." I've had lots of pain and give myself injections weekly for my arthritis. Dr. Dershowitz suggested to me a new treatment that they are using in the office; cold laser therapy. Although it sounds too good to be true, it's been almost a miracle. After the first treatment, I could move my ankle- for the first time in 20 years. The swelling that I had on both sides of my ankle is going down and I can see my bones and veins now. And my pain is almost completely gone! I've had three treatment now and couldn't be happier. There's no pain associated with it, and a robotic laser head that they position performs the treatment. I couldn't recommend him and his staff any more highly! Thanks, Dr. Dershowitz
