I was referred to Dr Garisa after a horrible experience with another obgyn in the city. She was pretty kind to my needs, and answered all my questions. Her waiting room, office, and exam rooms were clean and tidy. It is so hard to get into see a specialist that we are at the mercy of the healthcare system, and unfortunately we sometimes get crappy service when we do get in after waiting months and months...very frustrating!

I had a bad experience with this doctor; left me in the hospital for three days without even seeing me. My husband had to threaten to change doctors and then she suddenly showed up to tell me to go home. I only had her because she was on call. Told me I had an ectopic but didn't tell me when they found a sac in my uterus so I was worried for days after she knew I was fine. Secretary told me to come to her office asap and when I showed up, she asked "what are you doing here Amanda (which is not even my name) Told me my pregnancy wasn't viable in front of a room full of people the day before Christmas and then let me miscarry for sixteen weeks! Yes, 80 plus days before I finally pushed enough to have proper treatment. A friend of mine also had a family member be referred to Dr.Garissa and after one visit, she refused to go back. There is a few more things like a somewhat dirty and unorganized office (calendar is post it notes on her desk) but...that's just my experience.

Does anyone have any feedback on this Doctor? She is relatively new to the Sudbury area and I had the pleasure of being her patient and was pleased with her. Hope she stays here as Sudbury only has a handfull of OB/GYNS that are worthy of dealing with women issues!
