Wonderful Doctor. I would highly recommend him as an OB. He is very thorough! Great bedside manner.

Had him for labor and loved how explained everything and when my son Shoulder Dystocia. I have seen him several times for ob appointments and he sits down fully goes over all your last bloodwork ultrasounds and any concerns you may have.

Dr. Cowan was the best OB I have ever had, patient, polite & never rushing my concerns & questions. He's has excellent bed side manner, he's just not as out going as other doctors are. A five star Doctor if you ask me! !! My husband & i are very pleased with his friendliness & professionalism in all our appointments & delivery.

He is hands one the best doctor. He is so kind and I feel so safe with him. Who cares about his bed manners like others have posted on here, can you deliver you baby safely,...darn straight he can that's all that matters...

First time I meet Dr. Cowan I was in labour with my first child. I had already been in labour 12 hours, I was not feeling like a ray of sunshine. He was gentle, soft-spoken, knowledgeable and put me at ease emotionally and then continued to care for my physical needs. I had Dr. Cowan again 3 years ago for a surgical procedure, he walked me through what he was going to do, I had a full understanding of what to expect of the surgery, during and afterwards. Am disheartened to read some of the other comments and am sorry your experience with him wasn't as good as mine. I would recommend him based on his experience, knowledge, and kindness.

It's funny that there are more than a few comments about Dr. Cowen not looking patients in the eye. I fail to see how that has any relevance to his ability as a doctor. We had a difficult birth and Dr. Cowen was thankfully on hand to lend his priceless experience to our case. Our birth would not have gone as well without Dr. Cowen, period. That's all that matters to us and it should to anyone else as well.

He delivered my first child (was not my ob, but I went into labour early and he was on call). Terrible bedside manner, won't look you in the eyes, very vague and unresponsive when asked questions. Completely unsupportive. Because of him, I suffered a lot of complications with my birth. I would never let this man lay a finger on me again. Why someone like this would even want to work with women and babies is beyond me..

amazing dr. i have seen dr. cowan for many years for various issues with my cervix, i was young when i started to see him he made me feel at ease, for any and all procedures he went step by step, so when i decided to have children naturally i wanted him as my dr. unfortunately he was not there for delivery for either of my children, but he was there to see my and my baby later on. he has called me personally to discuss matters with me, an amazing dr and i thank him.

Dr. Cowan told us one thing and wrote down another he almost killed myself and my unborn child. When I saw him in 199 for my son and 2000 for my pregnancey with my daughter he was great but now I would not recommend him to anyone. His staff is very nice exspecialey the nurse with the short black hair and glasses (Never) got her name but she is the nicest nurse there. Still there to this day I saw her for my recent pregnancey she is awesome caring and helpful.

Dr. Cowan did his job during my prenatal care. It was rather awkward at times, and after my delivery, very little information was passed on to me by him. I was not informed of any lacerations that occured during delivery, nor self care following. Luckily I have already experienced childbirth and was informed of post natal care. I would not recommend this doctor, and I wish I had asked for Dr. Rooney his colleague. At times he even seemed aloof about my visits and his practice.
