Dr DeRocquigny treated me for over 10 years, until I relocated. He always treated me with respect, dignity and was full of encouragement. He is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience. He always made time for me if I was in an emergency situation. Yes he does prescribe a lot of meds, but when I have tried to cut back (with his assistance) I have always had a relapse.

I was gang raped several years ago. I have been in 3 psych wards since then. De-Roq is the first doctor to actually diagnosis me with POST TRAUMATIC SYNDROME (no duh!!) and treat me for it. He literally saved my life. Yeah he prescribed a lot of medications at first, but within 7 months when I was doing well I was down to 2 daily meds. I was ready to die and he helped to bring me back to life.

Find him very easy to talk to. Good listener. Makes me feel he truly cares about my situation and understands.Has helped me thru some pretty scary times.Wouldn't want anyone else !

not interactive at all, as a family member and care giver of one of his patients. he is not forthcoming with information or advice and doesnt care if the medication causes a problem. kind of a control freak doesnt care about your or the patients concerns.has no interest in what anyone thinks. dont recomend him at all.

He has way too many patients; he gives out drugs like it is halloween.

I am pleased with the current care I have been receiving. Although, sometimes I find that my concerns about some of the prescribed medications are overlooked. Overall, I belive I am receiving great care.

Exellent doctor for one who hasn't been successful with medicatiion stabilization. My diaganos was complex and long to obtain. When I was finally properly diagnosed & put a blended combination of meds, my life was turned around.

Very patient and caring psychiatrist. I have dealt with him in nursing homes with the geriatric patients and he is very knowledgeable. He takes the time to do his research and takes time with the patient. I would not hesitate to see him for treatment for myself.

His idea of treatment for psychiatric conditions is medication. Whenever I had a symptom, he prescribed another drug. He never dealt with the issues behind the symptoms and didn't seem to bother with any type of treatment that didn't involve drugs (talk therapy, ect.). When I finally stopped seeing him I was on over 7 different types of pills a day, taken throughout the day which amounted to over 30 pills per day. At one point he started prescribing pills to counteract the side effects of other pills. Since I have stopped seeing him I have gotten off of all the meds and have dealt with the underlying issues that were contributing to my mental illness. I DO NOT recommend this dr.
