I went to the Southride Instacare because I had symptoms of strep throat. The Medical Assistant who swabbed my throat did not do a good swab. It was barely on the back of my tongue> It came back negative for strep, NO SURPRISE SINCE THE SWAB WAS NOT DONE ON MY THROAT. I told the doctor and he dismissed me. I tried to tell him my history of one other strep with these weird symptoms and he did NOT even listen. He was probably in my room less than minutes. I asked him if he was going to culture it and he said there is no need. Needless to say I ended up severely ill and at my own doctors 2 days later with a POSITIVE result for strep. I paid for both clinical visits and tests and would not have had to go to the second visit if the instacare doctor would have taken care of me properly. I will NEVER go back . There was NOT a bunch of people and it was NOT busy. There were only 2 people in the waiting room with me. So busy is not an excuse.
