Upon arrival by ambulance my mother was put in a wheelchair and placed in the ER lobby to wait to be seen. She wasn't seen for over 6 hours! When she was seen the staff did not really listen to the fact that her symptoms were worsening, and upon discharge told her I'm sure you can find your way out. Facility is very understaffed. The staff members are overworked, and not truly taking the time to properly care for patients. This is not the level of care our family has come to expect from the Mayo Clinic.
I felt the nursing staff was a bit overwhelmed for as many post surgical patients they had on the neuro floor, and some pain meds were missed by one nurse. They did have top-notch medical equipment, and the doctors checked in frequently. Overall I felt like I was cared for very well. The nursing service was just overworked.
