Last time I was there I encountered a dirty dingy room with a doctor who could barely speak English (OK---but). Well the procedure was cancelled (this was already the 4th reschedule to accommodate the doctors vacation schedules). Why was this procedure cancelled--well, when I was given no pre-muscle biopsy instructions, I CALLED THEM. I asked, I asked them to consult the doctor, I informed them of a trip I was taking immediately after, and they said "no problem". When I got there and explained same, well there was a problem. There were dirty rooms, dirty sheets on a bed, bad staff, bad doctor. This is the last time I have been to this hospital. I've had other times where some of the doctors are fantastic---but it does not matter when appts are rescheduled, and support staff don't (are not able) to do their job. The culture here is inbred doctors. My local doctors discuss with me problems they have with patients at MCG---delayed care, rampant infections, death. Let me say that again clearly---my local doctors have cautioned me that other patients of theirs DIE due to the negligent care at mcg. This is a known management issue. Bad leaders = bad service all around.

Great doctors. Facilities are dated. My room temperature could not be controlled. The nurse just brought blankets to cover up vent to keep room warm!!!

This p;ace was the pits! It's now called Georgia Regents University Hospital. My Dr was outstanding but then after my surgery I was left in recovery for 7 1/2 hrs waiting for a room. The care was terrible! I was left on a bed pan so long that my back is still having issues and that was 4 1/2 months ago. I was told to push myself up in bed but when I did it put the IV through my hand. I told the nurse I thought something bad happened to it but she looked at it said it was fine and left. I woke up later with a "paw" where the IV had gone through the vein. The urine from the bedpan not being under me enough went on my gown and pad underneath but did they give me another gown? NO nor did they change the sheets just the pad. Meds were routinely late plus the room provided no comfort what so ever for my husband. It was dirty too. I would not send my worse enemy to this place. It's horrible so I'd say the doctor, my doctor anyway was outstanding and the surgery went well but the afterwards stay was truly a nightmare. If ever I'm in an ambulance and they're taking me to this hospital I'll tell them to put my outside on the road and just let me die there. The care in this hospital is so bad and these are just a couple things that were wrong. I've been in and around a lot of hospitals in my lifetime and can honestly say this one was THE WORSE!!! Avoid staying in it if you can.

The ER doctors are incompetent. I was sent out the door with a blood colt in my liver and short of breath.

This is the place to go if you want the experts for your doctors. If you want fellow patients that are snobs, go somewhere else.
