Too few registered nurses. PSW's should not be assisting acutely ill patients. CEO Jim Hornell advocates for spending money on cell phones for liaison staff to use for personal services while not caring for our elderly patients. Nurses have been placed in middle management positions called team leaders while managers are called value stream leaders and are paid to play golf while suppoively working. Clostridium difficult, MRSA, VRE are continuous outbreaks in the hospital. VP Lina Rinaldi does not support the College of Physicians standards nor the College of Nurses Standards that exists to protect the public. David Cameron operates his understanding based on previous legal experience and defines healthcare on his Torte Law governance which protects the unregulated care providers against legal harm. Staff morale, supplies, professionalism, and public safety is at its lowest. The board of directors have been consulted to provide changes. Community volunteers are concerned, spiritual partners have backed away from the organization, and many staff have resigned to be part of the disgraceful hospital. The LHIN needs to oversee the governance of such a poorly operating system. The TOYOTA Lean philosophy is for cats, not humans.
