than an hour ago A mental health nurse named John lacks empathy and failed to provide appropriate care. 80% of the nurses are great but there  are some that are not. They are understaffed over worked and as a result the patients are not receiving the appropriate care. I have discharged myself after being dismissed from several staff, Phil the D&A counselor or what ever he is, is a arrogant human.. he talked down to me so many times.  They also breached my privacy by allowing someone into my room when i did not know they where coming and or allow them to visit.  Several comments made by staff are : the meth heads in room 128 watch out for him, they will start thinking there is something wrong with them, we are not mirical workers and I don't have time to chat all I can offer you is prn.  Treated like a label not a human

nurses mean, psychologists mean, kept blatantly feeding me gluten even though they said they 'knew all about celiac' because apparently 'there's no gluten in oats' and 'chips only have a little bit of wheat on them' and putting my gluten free bread in the shared toaster without asking me... promptly ruining my toast... spend most of the time grumpy and on the toilet... they also seemed wayyy too keen to put me on sleep medication if i was even slightly restless... there's nowhere to exercise and i was there for weeks longer than i needed to be bc the psychiatrist assigned to me was on holiday... the whole place was really weird.. the most normal people were the cleaners/cooks (even though they didn't understand celiac)... also a lot of the staff seemed really unnecessarily condescending...

I was sexually assaulted while an inpatient here, set up by "Dr" Margaret Lumley. I was promptly and conveniently thrown out of the hospital as soon as I tried to speak up. Even apart from this, run away as fast as you can, unless you enjoyed being fed medications and laughed at.

Excellent facilities, staff and support. It is my fourth admission in 20 years and I feel so grateful to know I am able to go to such a safe place when I relapse with my panic disorder

Excellent staff, and facilities. Cannot rate them highly enough. You do need Top private health insurance to avoid high surcharges.

Lovely setting. That’s where it ends. Genuine care & empathy is severely lacking. First contact is admin who are often abrupt, insensitive & rude!

Just motivated by money. Care factor is just better than zero. Staff are uncaring and patients seem to be over medicated. May have started out with good intentions but just lost the plot.

Dr Golic is corrupt and dishonest. Took money did not read medical records and contradicted medical records in its very basics. Probably contacted Mr Fenner which decesions had to evaluate, and just repeated fabrications from Fenner which are in contradictions with medical records in Alma St and Fiona hospital. Beyond beleives PERVERSIVE and corrupt actions by dr Golic. Very bad manners no professional and social responsibility of any kind.

Perth clinic is a terrifying place. My quality of life has been ruined left with a complex medical problem as a result of poor medical and nursing decisions. Overall the culture of the nursing staff is toxic, most are very rude and often dismissive and what at times is cruel and calculated. Accessibility to nursing staff is via a Knock to a door of a glass office at which point you are mostly ignored, left standing and embarrassed. The duty of care is often not met and not conducive to recovery. In fact frequently you leave feeling demoralised and uncared for. It’s all about profit if meal orders are missed usually because the electronic system fails you are given a sandwich. Not a lot when you take appetite stimulating medication. The night shift are to be feared with stale and complacent staff with many years service but rude, autocratic and best to avoid. Overall the place should be avoided at all cost. It is very risky, unsafe with a bullying autocratic team from the top down, one positive the housekeeping staff are very kind, caring and always willing to help. Shame their style cannot be adopted by the nursing staff, catering, admin and medical teams. I have invested thousands into fruitless admissions only to be left terrified to the point I cannot bear to drive past this place, Often drugs are in offer from young patients who flaunt the weakness in the system which is focussed on the excessive revenues by massive pharmacy bills some as much as $800 , which keeps the ward stock replenished , over staying and Longer than necessary admissions . Not a nice place

Perth Clinic is a disgusting place. They are only interested in very simple issues. I was told because my issues are complex, they were unable to find a Dr to treat me. This was after the Psychiatrist I had, defamed my name. The Director of Nursing is supposed to be a support to the nursing staff and patients. However, like most of those at Perth Clinic, she is working hard towards increasing profits for the stakeholders. I didn’t get the meal I ordered 5 times in a 2 week period. I asked why did they not have my meal, and i was told “we have a budget and We are told to make less than required.” I’m a vegetarian, so there weren’t even sandwiches as a back up. I was also told “you need to make a complaint, so they will make more.” I was not going there. On behalf of a nurse, I made a complaint about lack of staff on the ward due to them taking groups, and was ‘told off’ like a child. I was told that it was my fault that my nurse was unavailable. Some nurses are nice, but most are uncaring. You will only see your nurse at medication time.....after that they are busy chatting with other collegues for the rest of their shift. It may look like a hotel, but I wanted medical care, not a hotel! Awful place.
